đ GOOD LUCK to everyone receiving their A-Level results tomorrow!
Results Day can bring just about every emotion imaginable.
Excitement. Relief. Pride. Nerves. Disappointment. Uncertainty. And sometimes several of those at once.
Whatever tomorrow brings, remember:
Your results tell us something. They donât tell us everything.
They donât show the hours you put in.
They donât show how much harder you may have had to work to read, write, revise, organise your thoughts or remember information.
They donât show the strategies youâve developed, the obstacles youâve overcome, or everything youâve learned about yourself along the way.
And they certainly donât determine what youâre capable of next. đ
For many young people, the end of sixth form is also a natural point to think about how they learn and what support might make the next stage easier.
Whether that next step is university, further study, an apprenticeship, employment, a change of direction - or simply taking some time to work out what comes next - Dyslexia South East can help.
We offer:
đ Dyslexia and dyscalculia assessments - helping young people understand their individual pattern of strengths and difficulties.
đ Specialist tuition and study skills - developing practical strategies for learning, literacy, numeracy, organisation and independent study.
đ¤ Mentoring and transition support - helping young people prepare for the increased independence and different expectations of university, further education and working life.
đ University and DSA support - including assessment and evidence where appropriate, alongside guidance around accessing support in higher education.
But you donât need to know which of those you need before you contact us.
Start with a conversation.
Tell us whatâs happening, what youâre wondering about and where youâre hoping to go next. If we think we can help, weâll explain how. If another route would be more appropriate, weâll tell you that too.
â¤ď¸ Our advice is always free.
We donât charge for memberships, subscriptions or friendly chats.
For now, though, tomorrow belongs to you.
Good luck - and whatever that envelope says, be proud of how far youâve come.
