July's friend of Grosvenor Park is Adela, 🎊

Everyone who has been in to Grosvenor Park has tried one of Adela's cakes, she is always happy and friendly,

All the staff and residents love to have a coffee and cake provided by Adela, it is now a prominent part of the day. 🎂 ☕️

Thank you Adela, for everything you do, we all really appreciate it 👏 👏 👏 👏

Less the 1 week until our summer fair! ☀️

We will have a BBQ, Games, stalls, raffle and Live music 🎶 from Helen Ward-Jackson

Today we had the very talented Amy's Retro Juke Box, 🎸🎼

Amy has massives of energy which she ploughs into her music, she had everyone dancing and grooving the afternoon away,

Afterwards we were all ready for tea and cake provided by our amazing chef, 👩‍🍳

Tonight we held our first Bingo Night 🎉

It was eyes down for a full house, we played 6 games and it was the first line and then bingo.

It was a great way, to enjoy a summers evening, playing games with friends,

Today is National Cowboy Day 🤠

So what better way to celebrate, than by having a little target practice, to see how quick a draw we really are! 🔫

We used nurf guns, staff and residents both tested their skills, to see who was quicker,

It may have got a little competitive, so we had to make it harder by using, moving targets and putting obstacles in the way, 🤠

This week we have had the very talented Adam Philip come and perform for us, 🎤

Adam played the violin 🎻 and sang classic songs, he had everyone dancing in their seats,

Adam then told stories about the music he was performing as well as general knowledge of the artists too.

Today we are out in the community advertising our beautiful home.

We are at Eastbourne Borough FC ground at Coda Pharmacy Health and Wellness day,

We are joined by Sussex Footcare, Sussex Audiology Centre Friends of Eastbourne Seafront , St John Ambulance the proper blokes club, Eastbourne Acupuncture, Eastbourne Blind Society , Wild and wise and Beatty Dental,

Today we started Motivational Monday with a friendly game of Boules,

Boules is a great way to start gentle exercise while incorporating social interactions, in a friendly competitive way.

Although we lost count of the scoring, everyone had fun and giggles while we played,

Today we celebrated National Teddy Bear Picnic Day, 🧸 in style with the help from our friends at Rocky's .

Who brought their Rockys King Bear 👑 to join in with our celebrations, we had our own Teddies Bear picnic with our teddies, with the eldest being 92, (93 next month)

Here at Grosvenor Park Care Home, we feel you are never to old to have a teddy or to come to a teddies Bear picnic, 🐻

Some teddies were home made, some were childhood friends and some were new, either way, they all enjoyed the cream cakes and cups of tea 🍵 🎂
