☀️ HOT WEATHER & FOOT CARE ☀️

With temperatures continuing to rise, don’t forget the impact hot weather can have on your feet 👣

Be extra mindful of:
💧 Swollen feet and ankles
👡 Blisters from sandals or flip-flops
🦶 Dry skin and cracked heels
☀️ Sunburn on the tops of your feet
🦠 Fungal infections from warm, sweaty feet

This is especially important if you live with Diabetes or poor circulation, as foot problems can develop more quickly.

💙 DIABETES AWARENESS WEEK 💙

This year's theme is

Did you know that 8 out of 10 people living with diabetes say they have experienced negative attitudes because of their condition?

As a podiatrist with years of NHS experience in diabetic foot complications, I see the importance of supporting people with diabetes, not judging them.

👣 Diabetes can affect circulation and sensation in the feet, making regular foot checks essential.

✔ Check your feet daily
✔ Don't ignore cuts, blisters or changes
✔ Seek professional advice early
✔ Attend regular foot assessments

Together we can raise awareness, challenge stigma and help people living with diabetes stay healthy and supported.

After a lovely family break, Bexhill Podiatry is now back open 👣

Thanks to all of our patients for your patience whilst I was away — especially with emails, messages and phone calls during annual leave.

I’m now fully caught up on all admin and enquiries, and appreciate your understanding and support! 💙

📢 A KIND REMINDER ABOUT APPOINTMENT CANCELLATIONS

As a small, self-employed business, missed appointments and last-minute cancellations have a significant impact.

We completely understand that emergencies and unexpected situations can happen. However, last minute cancellations often leave appointment spaces impossible to refill.

This not only affects our business, but also prevents other patients—who are waiting for an appointment—from being seen sooner 👣

We kindly ask all patients to provide at least 24 hours notice by telephone on 📞 01424 617 776 where possible, if an appointment needs to be cancelled or rearranged, in line with our cancellation policy.

Due to a significant increase in late cancellations and missed appointments over the past two weeks, we will unfortunately now have to begin enforcing this policy.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support, as this helps us continue providing the best possible care to all of our patients 💙
