Weāve had a very slow start to 2026.
Low iron wiped me out for months (hereās my tiny violin š») but Iām on the up and although weāre not quite match fit (both the venue and I), weāre nearly there, with viewings opening next week š„³ but itās been frustratingly slow. Itās consumed and tormented my mind most days, but there we are, sometimes life just doesnāt play ball.
But itās not like the venue has sat empty, oh no! Itās had multiple usesā¦so to keep it real here they are.
1. A beautiful backdrop (and free bar) for the kids camping in half term!
2. A Christmas grotto. Yup. Thereās still remnants of the festivities lurking.
3. Housing for my sonās 17th birthday surprise š š„³
4. A home gym. A totally unexpected use but one we couldnāt turn down or avoid whilst another home for the equipment is being constructed!
5. Sorting and storage for all the grotto decorations. Next year itāll all be gone by the end of February, Iāve made a promise to myself.
6. Gardening/camping storage.
Itās 80% clear now. Currently my boyfriend is up in the beams removing the final fluffs of snow, staples and fairy lights š« and by the end of today itās gonna be 90% empty. Exciting.
What this ānon physicalā time has forced upon me is the time to work on a new trajectory for both the venue and I. Courses x 3 and a new websiteā¦coming soon in conjunction with
Itās been a long time coming.
Things are pivoting and it all feels very aligned, and I canāt wait to share it all with you soon.
But for now this is the truth bomb of how small business redirects and floors you some times. But in short, I think itās all been for the greater good. Exciting times ahead š«
Now back to work before he chucks snow at my head and tells me to get off my phone and do some work šš«£š
