💥METEOR MAGICK!💥
Tidings wonderful Crystal & Magickal clan! We have something a little different for you today. As well as the new moon and the eclipse last night, it was also the peak of the Perseids meteor shower. Which falls annually around the 12th of August, which is our wedding anniversary. We watched the shower on our wedding night and have since always tried to head out and watch them each year providing the sky is clear. This year, it’s aligning with a new moon also meant it would be perfect dark sky conditions!

We are very blessed to live in a little village with some of the best dark skies around, viewable from a field next-door to our house! So.. just before midnight, we took a couple of chairs, blankets and camera and were treated to an incredible display with silver, Green, Orange & even Blue colours! Mr Earth and Heaven managed to capture just a few alongside some incredible pictures of the night sky and the colourful, misty band of the Milky Way.

I thought I’d share a few of them here for those who might like to see them.
If you zoom in on a couple of the pictures, you can spot some extra little hidden streaks from meteors shooting past, amongst the star clad sky!
It was a truly Magickal night!

Folklore & Magick : Grab a chair & a brew & have a read of some lore & wisdom.

✧ Have you ever wished on a shooting star, this practice likely came from the tradition & belief that the meteors glowing trails were like temporary tears in the veil of the sky, allowing contact with the Gods & Spirits, & when the tears opened magical intent or wishes could pass through to be granted.

✧ In British folk belief, shooting stars were often believed to be souls, either passing on to afterlife or a sign of a new soul being born.

✧ Some Rural English legends claim that the debris & stones found from meteors that had landed could be cleansed on a red springs, to bring healing properties, & some believed od this material was placed under adversary’s bed it wpukd act as a potent sympathetic curse!

✧ Many traditions often saw/see these bright fireballs shooting past as prophetic. Linking them to omens of change, transformation, endings & shifting political or royal powers.

Grandest of Risings, our Merry Clan of Crystal lovers & Magickal souls! Tomorrow evening, here in the shire at 6.36pm we are set to welcome the new moon in leo, alongside a Solar Eclipse (set to begin here at approx 6:18pm, maximum at 7:15ish pm, & finishing just after 8:00 pm.
Alongside this It’s also the peak of the Perseid Meteor shower! So it’s a wonderfully auspicious time & even more so for myself & Mr Earth and Heaven as the 12th is our wedding Anniversary!

The peak of the shower falling on a new moon, means dark skies, making it perfect for viewing the shooting stars( along as it not cloudy that is 🤣)

The sign of Leo is linked to creativity, boldness, self expression, courage & inner fire,
The eclipse helps to shine a light on what may be hidden and to let go & release what no longer serves, to be strong & courageous, embracing your true self without fear of judgement & let out the lion-heart energy within us!

~ PURPLE ANHYDRITE ~
This pretty elusive and stunning Mineral from Madagascar, has a soft, calming energy, its said to help to release energy blockages, increase strength & stamina, help in shedding past patterns & in clearing toxins & stress, whilst bringing physical & spiritual healing. It’s believed to bring us the support & patience needed to overcome and deflect negative behaviour from others and to rise above it and be the better person. It’s also reputed to help us to avoid slipping into unwanted or bad habits.
A powerful stone that can help expand consciousness, enhance spiritual connection & communication & help aid in communication with higher dimensions.

The word Anhydrite means “without water”. and the purple color is the result of the loss of water in a rock that is forming into Gypsum.
