At Highwood,this afternoon, we listened to Jonathan on sax 🎷. We relaxed into the jazz 🎼 and sang along to those tunes we knew .
We all enjoyed the excellent music and of course a cup of tea ☕️and cake . Chef made banana cake bars today . 💙

At Highwood, this afternoon , Steve Bell came to sing to us.
Friends found each other and sang together. We enjoyed the songs ,especially those we knew and clapped or stamped our feet!
And today was special ,because today , at afternoon tea , we celebrated a birthday . So we had one of chefs amazing cakes !

At Highwood , this afternoon , we had our regular Zumba 🕺🏿session . What great fun we had !
If we couldn’t manage the exercises we sang along to the songs!
We all got our a dance with Roberto too!
Exercise is so important for mental and physical health 🤗💙.
Laughter and singing also help our breathing .

At Highwood ,today ,we had a visit for communion ,from St Mary’s Church. 💒The simple message of the service was ‘Be Thankful’ . Such a positive message ! 🤗
At Highwood , yesterday ,we had a lot to be thankful for.
A kind lady dropped off 4 ,very full ,black bags of crafts and wool for the residents to use . There was much excitement about sorting it all into boxes .
And we did it! 💙 team effort !

Chair star jumps 🧘🏻‍♀️were a challenge but we all rose to it! 🎯Well done everyone !

At Highwood,this afternoon , just about half the residents turned up to listen to Sarah play the pIano. 🎹🎼Friends caught up and we listened to some of our favourite classics 💃🏻and some new pieces . We finished off with a nice cup of tea 🫖☕️and more chats.💙
