🦴 KNOW YOUR SPINE — PART 2: THE THORACIC SPINE
The thoracic spine, more commonly known as the mid-back, is made up of 12 vertebrae (T1–T12) and connects with the ribs to form the rib cage.
It plays an important role in rotation, posture and movement of the upper body, while also providing stability and protection.
Do you regularly experience mid-back stiffness, aching between the shoulder blades, discomfort when sitting for long periods, or feel restricted when rotating?
These are common issues we see in clinic, and an assessment can help identify what may be contributing to your symptoms and the most appropriate way to manage them.
If your mid-back has been bothering you or affecting your day-to-day activities, get in touch or book an appointment and we’d be happy to take a look.
