The Dandelion Farewells team has spent three days on focused training with external facilitators, as we welcome a new colleague, deepen our own professional skills, and grow together. This dedicated time ensures that the founding ethos of the company is embedded in all we do:
~ to provide comprehensive, individual, connected, trusted, transparent funeral support;
~ to be available for funeral planning conversations, for individuals and professional settings.

Alongside us overseeing emails and phone calls from a different ‘office’, “thank you” to our freelance colleagues for completing roles within our responsibilities this week.

“Thank you” too to Roffey Park Institute for hosting a perfect venue.

Our preparations are in place for the Charity Coffee Morning on Monday, for Parkinson's UK 🩵
We will be setting-up gazebos and seating at our premises in Wisborough Green, and the lounge and office will be available for indoor seating, too.
All welcome ~ Please pop along to enjoy fresh cakes & refreshments, and the Tombola generously provided by so many local businesses and supporters.
Not able to pause? Take-out boxes available for cake orders; donations pledged/received for tickets to be drawn on your behalf.
*note: vegan and gluten-free options available, “thank you” Little Bean Cafe Billingshurst and The Little Teahouse - Southwater
Please anticipate parking at the Green, the Village Hall or local residential roads.

There is something deeply grounding about being in nature during a farewell.

When everything feels overwhelming, the trees, the open air, the green space around us can offer a quiet kind of holding. A sense of calm. A reminder that beauty can still be present, even in grief.

And a funeral ceremony doesn’t have to happen in a traditional setting.

A coffin can go almost anywhere — a garden, a front room, a village hall, a church hall, a rugby club, a cricket club, or somewhere that simply feels right for the person being remembered.

For some families, being outside or choosing a familiar, meaningful place can make the ceremony feel more personal, more spacious, and more connected.
