What an eventful week we have all had to celebrate care home open week!

Wednesday staff went head to head in our sports day event. Our senior colleagues from the support centre also visit to join in and support!
Many thanks to Matthew and Andy from our HR department and Sophia our service user engagement manager thank you!
The overall winning team was our Squirrel unit congratulations 🍾 🪅 🥳 🎊

The fun and celebrations continued until today where we welcomed out local MP Al Carnes who was very interested in finding out more about Otterburn and he spent time speaking to Service users and staff thanking them for what we do each and every day !

Yesterday we hosted a Pop up event at the Queen Elizabeth hospital for Huntingtons disease. We had a brilliant response from many different professionals and the amazing public.
People were asking why we were there and we were more than happy to tell them we work in the local area and we wanted to raise awareness for the people we care for.
We lit up Otterburn for

To acknowledge mental health week, our mental health first aider Karen and our mental health champion Emma launched Healing Arts. Our garden is going to be very colourful.

It was a great success and we can’t wait for next time. PS thanks to Michelle for the cake

They say loving someone with dementia you lose them twice, today we took a step forward in raising awareness and vital funds for a charity so close to our hearts.♥️

Thank you to all the people who baked and donated cakes, to those who came and brought the cakes and Jane Knox for organising the event.

We have raised over £330 so far and still counting 🌟

A beautiful Saturday in the sun. Garden centre trip this morning thank you Rob for the lovely flowers, Patrick and Kasia enjoying gardening and Shiv enjoyed the pop up in Kings Heath (even tho she said it’s posh food 🤣)
