I love all of our sessions, but there's something a little different about Sundays 🤍

Nobody's rushing.
Nobody's watching the clock.
Families can slow down, explore, play and enjoy the morning together.

The children have time to fully immerse themselves in the story, discover each activity and play at their own pace.

Goldilocks... we need to talk about your hair 😂💛

There was careful brushing.
There was some very enthusiastic cutting.
There may have even been feet involved... 👣😂

And honestly? That's exactly how I like it.

At Read, Play, Create there's no right or wrong way to play. Children are free to explore, create, imagine and follow their own ideas 🥰

Sometimes that looks like a lovely hair salon...

And sometimes it looks like complete chaos 😂✨

Both are perfect.

One of my favourite things about sensory play?

The children never use it how you expect 😂🤍

I carefully set up a jungle for the monkeys.....and within seconds we'd moved from jungle explorer to sitting in the middle of the tray scooping, pouring and filling pots 🥰

And that's exactly how it should be.

The best play happens when children follow their own ideas, curiosity and imagination ✨

✨ A little change for summer term ✨

Read, Play, Create will now be running every other Wednesday instead of weekly 🤍

Honestly, I think this works so much better for summer.
Days out, holidays, changing routines and busy weeks can make a long 7 week term feel like a big commitment — so this now becomes a lovely little 4 week block instead 🥰

Still all the story-led, sensory fun and language-rich play… just with a little more flexibility for families ✨

📚 Nibbles Numbers
📚 The Three Billy Goats Gruff

As always, sessions are designed to support communication, confidence, imagination and school readiness through play 🤍

One thing about toddlers… they will ALWAYS stop to hunt for hidden sea creatures 👀🐙🌊

Honestly, sensory play doesn’t need to be complicated to feel magical 🥹

Just a few simple materials, a little imagination and suddenly we’re diving under the sea searching for octopuses, crabs and squid ✨

This kind of play is amazing for encouraging language, curiosity, fine motor skills and problem solving — all whilst little ones think they’re simply having fun 🤍
