Acne is a condition which massively affects self confidence. This can occur at any age, and there are many known triggers such as hormones and stress.

In women, hormonal acne can often occur because of the spike in luteinizing hormone which occurs mid-cycle. It can take one-two weeks for the acne lesions to develop, which results in active acne around the time of menstruation.

The Clenziderm system consists of three products which have been clinically proven to treat mild to moderate acne, two of which are prescription only.

A vitamin A derivative, such as tretinoin or retinol, can be used alongside to further improve results as well as providing skin texture improvements and skin brightening.

0.5ml was used here to achieve the patients goals but also to maintain the shape and provide more lift to the Cupids Bow.

I checked in regularly with the patient throughout the procedure as she was naturally apprehensive, being new to fillers.

A lengthy consultation took place beforehand to allow the patient to explain what she wanted - a boost of confidence, which was largely undetectable.
