Stanley the therapy dog has been back to visit Lucton House Care Home , and it’s safe to say he was very happy to be here! 🐶

Our wonderful residents always love seeing Stanley, and he certainly enjoys being the centre of attention. There were plenty of fuss and, of course, a few treats along the way. We’re not sure who looks forward to these visits more, Stanley or our residents! 💜

Our wonderful residents have been busy keeping the garden looking neat and tidy, making sure it is all ready for the winter months. There is always something to do in the garden, and it is lovely to see everyone getting stuck in 💜

At Lucton House Care Home , our residents had such a lovely outing recently down at Bournville Beach, making the most of that last bit of beautiful weather ☀️

There was plenty going on throughout the day, from the fairground rides to a few friendly games, and of course lots of delicious food along the way. It was one of those trips where everyone just relaxed into the moment and enjoyed being out together.

We came back with tired feet, happy hearts, and lots of little memories shared between friends 💜

What a lovely afternoon we had at Lucton House Care Home for our Summer Fete! ☀️

Our amazing residents, families, friends, team and members of our local community all came together to enjoy the stalls, raffle, tombola, food and refreshments, with a DJ and live singer keeping everyone entertained. Our residents particularly enjoyed having a look around the stalls and watching the live singer, as well as catching up with everyone throughout the afternoon 💜

It was such a lovely way to spend a summer afternoon together, with plenty for everyone to enjoy and lots of familiar faces around the home.

As summer comes to an end, we’re looking back at some of our August highlights across Gold Care Homes ☀️💜

With plenty of summer sunshine, our homes found ways to enjoy the summer while keeping cool, with ice creams and ice cream van visits proving particularly popular! 🍦

We also put the kettle on for Afternoon Tea Week, enjoyed some well-earned downtime for National Relaxation Day and made the most of the Summer Bank Holiday.

We are still smiling as we look back on our lovely staff party here at Lucton House Care Home 💜

It felt extra special as we came together to celebrate achieving the Gold Standards Framework Accreditation Quality Hallmark Award.

Our residents joined in with us too, which made it all the more meaningful. There was music from the DJ, some tasty food, and plenty of dancing as everyone enjoyed the moment together.

It really was one of those afternoons that reminded us what a wonderful team we have, and how much these shared moments matter. A big thank you to everyone who has been part of the journey with us 💜

🌳 We enjoyed another lovely walk from Lucton House Care Home to Rowheath Pavilion !

Our wonderful residents spent a relaxing afternoon by the duck pond, watching the ducks and enjoying some fresh air. The weather was kind to us too, making it a lovely day to get out and about together 🦆💜

It is always nice to have a change of scenery and enjoy a gentle stroll at our own pace.

We recently celebrated Tom’s birthday with some lovely decorations, a delicious cake and a special rendition of Happy Birthday from our team. Tom was very thankful and enjoyed having everyone together to celebrate with him 💜

We are so proud to share that Lucton House has achieved the Gold Standards Framework (GSF) Accreditation Quality Hallmark Award. This is a fantastic achievement and a real reflection of the dedication, care and teamwork shown every day.

It highlights our commitment to ensuring residents receive the highest quality support, dignity and respect throughout their care journey. Everyone has worked incredibly hard for this, and it’s wonderful to see that recognised.
