🇹🇷 A little more about why I’m so excited about teaching in Istanbul this October…

For me, one of the nicest things about teaching internationally has always been the people you meet and the conversations you have, as much as the actual teaching.

That’s what Alime and I would really like to create in Istanbul.

Yes, we’ll be covering lots of Men’s Health Physiotherapy — pelvic pain, pudendal neuralgia, prostate cancer rehabilitation, erectile dysfunction, young men’s pelvic health, ultrasound imaging and plenty more.

But I’d also love to see physios coming together from Türkiye, Europe, the UK, the Middle East and hopefully even further afield. 🌍

Learning together, sharing experiences, asking questions and hopefully making connections that continue long after the course finishes.

And of course, we happen to be doing all of this in Istanbul! 🇹🇷

So if you’re travelling in, stay an extra day or two if you possibly can and enjoy the city as well.

🇹🇷 TWO EDUCATORS. TWO AREAS OF EXPERTISE. ONE WEEKEND IN ISTANBUL.

One of the things we’re most looking forward to about our International Men’s Health Physiotherapy Course is teaching it together.

Gerard Greene and Dr Alime Büyük have known each other for almost 20 years and have worked together for much of that time.

And this October, we’re bringing that experience together in Istanbul. 🇹🇷

👨‍🏫 Gerard brings extensive clinical and teaching experience in Men’s Health Physiotherapy, including male pelvic pain, pudendal neuralgia, prostate cancer rehabilitation, erectile dysfunction and complex male pelvic-health presentations.

👩‍🏫 Alime brings an exceptional combination of clinical practice, research and education, with a PhD related to pelvic-health physiotherapy and extensive international academic experience.

But this weekend isn’t about standing at the front of a room and talking at you.

Quite the opposite.

Pelvic Health Physios Around the World — We’d Love Your Help!

We’re looking for a small group of International Course Ambassadors to help us spread the word about our courses in Istanbul — starting with our International Men’s Health Physiotherapy Course this autumn 🇹🇷

Alime and I would really love to see Istanbul become a place where physios from lots of different countries can come together, learn, meet each other and, of course, enjoy a few days in one of my favourite cities!

We already have Turkish physios joining us, but we’d love to have colleagues coming over from the Middle East, Europe and further afield too.

And this is where we could really use a little help from our international pelvic health friends 🙏

Nothing complicated and definitely no selling!

🇹🇷✈️ I’m really looking forward to this one!

On 31st October & 1st November, my good friend and colleague Dr Alime Büyük and I will be teaching our International Men’s Health Physiotherapy Course in Istanbul.

I’ve taught Men’s Health in lots of different places over the years, but I’m particularly excited about this course.

We’ve deliberately put the theoretical teaching online beforehand because I really don’t want people travelling all the way to Istanbul to sit and watch me talk through PowerPoint slides for two days!

I want our time together to be practical, interactive and enjoyable — lots of practical work, ultrasound imaging, clinical reasoning, case discussions, questions and sharing experiences.

And hopefully we can get physios travelling in from lots of different countries too. 🌍

Istanbul is such an incredible city that I’d really encourage anyone coming to make a few days of it. Come for the course, explore the city, enjoy the food and hopefully meet some brilliant physios along the way. 🇹🇷
