I used to think my morning routine had to be perfect, or not worth doing at all. Especially on holiday, I’d feel like I’d “fallen off” if I couldn’t do it all.

But I’m learning it doesn’t have to be all or nothing.

I’ve stopped expecting my morning routine to look exactly the same. If I can find even 10 minutes to move, breathe, or simply sit quietly before everyone wakes up, I know I’ll feel better for it. I’m calmer, more present, and I have so much more to give throughout the day.

It’s not about being perfect, it’s about making a little space for yourself, however that looks.

What’s one thing you always make time for, even when you’re away? ☀️👇

Sunday’s workshop was a special one 🧡

This month we explored the Sacral Chakra. Our centre of creativity, emotion, pleasure and self-expression.

Throughout the afternoon we moved with gentle yoga, slowed our breath with pranayama, painted meditated and journaled. Each practice was designed to help us connect a little more deeply with this energy centre, creating space to notice our emotions with curiosity rather than judgement.

One of my favourite moments was the watercolour meditation.

There were no instructions to paint something beautiful. No expectations. Just an invitation to let the breath guide the brush. Every painting was completely different, and each one was individual in its own way.

We spoke about how creativity doesn’t have to mean making art. It can be found in the way we cook a meal, arrange flowers, solve a problem, dance in the kitchen, write in a journal or simply choose to do something differently.

Sometimes reconnecting with ourselves isn’t about making huge changes. It’s about finding small pockets of creativity, joy and expression in our everyday lives.

Thank you to everyone who came with such openness. It was a privilege to hold space for you all, and I hope you left feeling a little lighter, a little softer, and a little more connected to yourselves.

Next month we’ll continue our Back to Balance journey with the Solar Plexus Chakra. We’ll explore what it means to trust yourself, strengthen your inner fire and personal power and build your confidence to make choices that feel true to yourself.

A little philosophy with my morning tea 😆 ☕️

This book is quickly becoming one of my faves! There’s one reflection for every day of the year, so you can pick it up as little or as often as you like. Some of them really make you stop and think.

We spend so much energy trying to control things that were never ours to control in the first place… other people’s opinions, other people’s actions, what might happen or whether everything goes to plan.

What if we put that energy into the only thing we really can influence… how we respond?

It’s funny because this is exactly why I love yoga. Beyond the asana’s /movement it’s a philosophy that teaches us to notice our thoughts, come back to our breath and to the present moment, and soften our grip on the things we can’t control. This doesn’t make life suddenly get any easier, but our relationship with life begins to change.

Of course, knowing it and living it are two very different things, and I’m definitely still practising it every day! 😬

A few reminders I’ve been sitting with lately,

💫I can’t control everything, but I can choose how I respond.
💫Peace comes from within, not from waiting for life to be perfect.
💫Staying calm when things feel chaotic is a practice, not a personality trait.

So maybe peace isn’t found when life finally settles down. Maybe it’s found in learning how to meet life exactly as it is ❤️

I’ve been reflecting on this a lot lately.

I don’t think we forget how to enjoy life overnight.I think it happens bit by bit.

Life gets busy.
We put ourselves last.
We keep waiting for the ‘right time’ or when the kids are older or work calms down.

Then one day you realise it’s been ages since you did something just because you wanted to.

And here’s a question… do you even know what lights you up anymore?

That’s what inspired this month’s Back to Balance workshop.

We’ll be exploring the Sacral Chakra through movement, reflection and connection, making space for more joy, creativity and the things that make us feel alive.

July 18th 🧡

This month, I’m focusing on joy. 🤍

The everyday moments that light us up.

A slow morning.
A walk in nature.
Moving your body because it feels good.
Laughing with someone you love.
A cup of tea in the sunshine.

So often we’re focused on what’s next that we forget to ask ourselves what truly makes us happy.

I’m choosing to slow down and notice those moments. To make more space for the things that bring joy, pleasure and presence into everyday life.

What makes you feel alive?
