🌸 A Wonderful Day at Heartlands! 🌸

We’ve had another lovely day here at Heartlands Care Home!

We started our morning with a Pub Social, where our residents enjoyed a bit of friendly fun with our little helper calling out the all important Higher or Lower! 🎲😄

This afternoon, we celebrated Afternoon Tea Week in style! 🫖🍰
Our residents enjoyed delicious fresh scones, plenty of tea and, of course, lots of singing along to some of their favourite songs.

And there was even more reason to celebrate as we wished our wonderful Activity Co-ordinator, Stella, a very Happy Birthday! 🎂🎉

Happy Birthday, Stella! We hope you’ve had a fantastic day, thank you for bringing so much fun, laughter and joy to our residents! 💜

What a busy weekend at Heartlands!

We’ve had a wonderful weekend filled with fun, laughter and plenty of special moments for our residents!

Our residents enjoyed a lovely shopping trip, followed by a delicious carvery lunch ,the perfect way to refuel after a busy morning! 🛍️

We’ve also been out in the garden, enjoying some gardening, fresh air and sunshine, as well as getting involved in lots of fun games and activities. 🎲🌷

And to finish off a fantastic weekend, today we celebrated our beautiful Eva’s birthday!
93 years young!
We hope you had the most wonderful birthday, Eva.

Today at Heartlands Care Home, our residents had a fantastic time taking part in an energetic exercise day! 💪🎶

Everyone got involved using resistance bands, punch bags and hula hoops, all while enjoying their favourite music. It was wonderful to see so many smiles, lots of laughter, and everyone keeping active together.

Staying active is so important for both physical and mental wellbeing, and our residents showed that exercise can be fun at any age! Well done to everyone who joined in, what a brilliant day! 🌟❤️

Another Wonderful Day at Heartlands Care Home!
Our residents have had another busy and enjoyable day filled with meaningful activities and plenty of smiles.

They spent time in our beautiful garden watering the flowers and admiring the rosemary they have lovingly grown from scratch. Everyone enjoyed rubbing the fresh rosemary between their hands and taking in its wonderful fragrance while learning about its many benefits, including helping to promote relaxation, stimulate the senses and support memory and wellbeing. 🌱💚

Our lovely residents, Lynette, and William also enjoyed a trip to the local supermarket to pick up a few essentials, giving them the opportunity to stay independent and enjoy getting out into the local community. 🛒😊

To finish the day, our residents attended their monthly book club, where they shared stories, enjoyed great conversations and spent quality time together. 📚❤️

At Heartlands, every day is filled with opportunities to learn, laugh, socialise and make special memories.

We’ve had a wonderfully busy couple of days here at Heartlands Care Home! 💙

Our residents have been making the most of the lovely weather by spending time relaxing and socialising in our beautiful garden, keeping active with some fun exercises, and a fantastic singalong full of smiles, laughter, and music. 🎉🎶🌸

It’s been wonderful to see everyone enjoying themselves, creating happy memories, and sharing special moments together. Days like these are what make Heartlands such a special place to call home.

Today, our wonderful Well-being Tracy, took our lovely resident Connie and her dear friend Lyn to Miller & Carter as part of Connie’s resident wish. 💜

Connie shared that she would love to enjoy a steak with her friend, just like they used to, and today that special wish became a reality. Seeing the smiles, laughter, and precious memories they created together made it a truly wonderful day.

Here at Heartlands Care Home, we believe it’s the little things that make the biggest difference. We are committed to making our residents’ wishes come true whenever we can, helping them continue to enjoy the moments and experiences that mean the most to them.

Because every resident deserves special moments and memories to cherish. 💜

Today, our amazing team at Heartlands Care Home took part in dementia awareness training, giving them the opportunity to experience what it can feel like to live with dementia. 💜

This invaluable training helps our staff gain a deeper understanding of the challenges our residents may face, enabling them to provide even more compassionate, person-centred care every single day.

At Heartlands Care Home, we are committed to going above and beyond to ensure our team receives the very best training, so our residents receive the highest standard of care, support, dignity, and understanding.
