I used to think calm was something you were born with.
That some people just got the steady nervous system, and the rest of us got the racing thoughts and the tight chest at 3am.
And yes, some people are wired calmer. That's real. But calm isn't only a temperament. So much of it comes down to how you filter the world. And a filter can be trained.
Every second, your brain is taking in 11 million bits of information and quietly deciding what to keep. The women who seem unshakeable haven't escaped the noise. They've trained themselves to notice the good and let the rest pass through. Same world. Different filter.
And here's where it gets personal for me. Those same senses, the ones taking in all of those millions of bits, your eyes, your ears, your nose, they're an amana. A trust from Allah. And how you use them is part of that trust.
So the same eyes that catch every flaw can catch every blessing. But only if you start pointing them on purpose.
Maybe you were born calm. Maybe you weren't. Either way, inshaAllah, you can build it from here. I did. And I've watched plenty of women do the same.
Tell me below, which one are you starting with? I read every comment.
