But the risks are real - from blackouts and accidents to long-term nerve damage linked to vitamin B12 deficiency.

It is now a class’s as a Class C drug in the UK.

Hep C Testing Week

Hep C can be passed on through blood-to-blood contact. This can happen when injecting equipment is shared, even if blood is not visible.

Risk can also come from sharing items that may have blood on them, such as injecting needles, razors or toothbrushes, or from unsterilised tattoo or piercing equipment.

Testing matters because many people do not know they have Hep C, and support is available.

At KIKIT, we offer culturally sensitive support around drugs and alcohol through structured treatment programs.

If you or someone you know needs support, contact us or visit the KIKIT drop-in.

Mental Health Awareness Week 💚

“Just smoke or drink, you’ll forget about it” is not support.

For some people, drugs or alcohol can feel like a way to cope with stress, trauma or emotional pain.

It may feel like relief in the moment, but numbing pain is not the same as healing. Support can help people understand what is underneath and take the first step towards recovery.

You deserve support, not silence.

At KIKIT, we offer culturally sensitive support around drugs and alcohol, and we can help connect people with wider mental health support through local services and charities.

If you or someone you know needs support, contact us or visit the KIKIT drop-in.

Mental Health Awareness Week 💚

Spiritual beliefs matter to many people, and faith can be an important source of strength.

But stress, trauma, depression and anxiety can also affect someone’s wellbeing. People should not be made to feel afraid, ashamed, or dismissed when they may need support.

Faith, family, community and professional support can work together. You do not have to choose one over the other.

At KIKIT, we offer culturally sensitive support around drugs and alcohol, and we can help connect people with wider mental health support through local services and charities.

If you or someone you know needs support, contact us or visit the KIKIT drop-in.

“You need to man up” is not support.

Many men are taught to hide what they are going through. But silence can make things harder, and struggling does not make someone weak.

Asking for help is a sign of strength. Talking honestly can be the first step towards support and recovery.

At KIKIT, we offer culturally sensitive support around drugs and alcohol, and we can help connect people with wider mental health support through local services and charities.

If you or someone you know needs support, contact us or visit the KIKIT drop-in.

Mental Health Awareness Week 💚

“It's all in your head” is not support.

Mental health is real. Stress, trauma, depression and anxiety can affect anyone, and dismissing someone’s experience can make it harder for them to speak up or ask for help.

People deserve support, not judgement or dismissal.

At KIKIT, we offer culturally sensitive support around drugs and alcohol, and we can help connect people with wider mental health support through local services and charities.

If you or someone you know needs support, contact us or visit the KIKIT drop-in.
