There are 6 homes currently within the Macc Care group; Priestley Rose, Church Rose, Meadow Rose, Abbey Rose, Wulfrun Rose and Austin Rose. All Macc Care homes, are recognised by the CQC, and are providers of high quality nursing under the NHS continuing healthcare framework. Introducing the Wyrley Rose Community Choir! 🎶

We’re delighted to be launching the Wyrley Rose Choir, and we’d love members of the local community to come along and be part of it.

The choir is all about bringing people together through music and creating a welcoming space for residents, families, friends and local people to sing. Whether you’re an experienced singer or simply enjoy a good sing-along, everyone is welcome. 🎤

And it’s been really lovely to see the community already supporting the idea, with messages coming in from people unconnected to the home, sharing how much music can mean to older people and their loved ones. One message described music as something that “brings joy and happiness” and said there is “nothing better than seeing a smile on their faces.” 💖

Watermead Rose recently hosted its first Memory Matters Friendship Group during Dementia Action Week 🌹

Led by Sue and Sarah, the group offers a welcoming space for carers and families supporting loved ones living with dementia or Alzheimer’s.

It was lovely to see people come together over coffee and cake, offering support and forming new friendships.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and spoke so openly.

Our next session is on Wednesday 17 June at 11:00am, and we’d love to welcome you.

Residents at Watermead Rose recently had a visit from Zoolab. 🦎

The session gave our memory care residents the chance to learn about and meet a range of creatures, including a snake, lizard, giant snail, tarantula and insects.

Everyone listened as Zoolab shared facts about each animal, from their habitats to what they eat, and there was plenty of excitement when residents had the chance to hold them!

Thank you to Zoolab for another amazing visit 💖
