Why we are hiring
The clinic is expanding. After 25 years in Castle Bromwich, demand has grown to the point that we need an additional full-time podiatrist to join the team. This is a new role rather than a replacement.
The role would suit either a newly qualified podiatrist looking for a strong first post with proper support around them, or an experienced clinician wanting to broaden their practice within a well-resourced clinic.
About us
Walsh Podiatry is an established five-podiatrist, three-room clinic with a dedicated gait lab and more than 600 five-star Google reviews. We provide the full range of podiatric care, from routine nail and skin treatment through to nail surgery, MSK, biomechanics, and orthotics. The clinic also runs a growing patient membership programme that supports regular, planned care for our long-term patients. Our reputation has been built over 25 years, and the team culture places real value on clinical quality and professional development.
The role
A varied clinical caseload from the outset, covering all aspects of podiatry. The diary will be shaped around your skills and interests, alongside the needs of the clinic. Whether your strengths lie in routine work, MSK, surgical, or biomechanics, there is scope to develop and broaden your practice.
Mentoring and professional development
Mentoring is something we take seriously. Whether you are stepping into your first post or several years into your career, you will have structured in-house support, regular case discussions, and senior clinicians on hand to talk through complex cases as they come up. We make time for it rather than treating it as an afterthought.
For newly qualified podiatrists, expect a properly supported start, with a graded caseload, shadowing time, and ongoing one-to-ones. For experienced clinicians, mentoring works in both directions. There is room to develop niche skills, take on more complex work, and contribute to the development of the rest of the team.
CPD is encouraged and supported throughout the year on an ad hoc basis, with paid time off for courses, conferences, and study where it fits the role and the clinic.
