Thigh lift: 6 weeks on, in her own words…

✨ Twilight anaesthesia for breast surgery: what recovery actually looks like

Wondering what recovery from breast surgery is really like? Dr Seni Mylvaganam breaks down what patients can typically expect with Twilight Anaesthesia, a form of deep sedation used for many of our procedures.

Most patients feel well enough to go home within an hour of surgery — genuinely quite a quick timeline. Driving is usually possible by around a week, a gradual return to normal activities happens over the following weeks, and more strenuous activity like the gym is typically possible from around six weeks.

As with any procedure, your surgeon will confirm the exact timeline for your individual recovery, and the usual 24-hour post-surgery rules apply straight after the procedure (no driving, no unescorted travel home, no alcohol).

A day in theatre with .mariachasapi

Some of you have been asking to see more of our Preservé breast surgery results, so we’re taking you inside theatre for a look at Dr Maria Chasapi’s day, where she performed four breast surgeries, each tailored to a different patient’s goals. Here’s one of those cases: a Preservé breast augmentation.

This patient had little natural breast tissue and wanted a discreet, natural-looking result. 290cc Ergonomix2®️ implants were used to achieve the result, with minimal disruption to the breast tissue.

Preservé is a newer, tissue-preserving approach to breast augmentation.

It works with the body’s existing anatomy using a smaller incision, typically around 2.5–3cm, and can be performed under local anaesthesia. It’s particularly well suited to those wanting a natural, discreet look, and to patients who haven’t had breast surgery before.
