🌙 MY BIG SLEEPOUT — FRIDAY 13TH NOVEMBER 🌙

This year I’m taking on The Big Sleepout for St Basils, supporting young people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness across the West Midlands.

The thought of anyone having to sleep outside without the safety, warmth and comfort of a home really hurts my heart. So for one night, I’ll be swapping my bed for a sleeping bag to help raise awareness and vital funds.

St Basils set my fundraising target at £224 — but I want to go bigger and raise £500! ❤️

That’s more than double the original target, and I’d absolutely love your help getting there. 🙏🏼

Every £1 £5, £10 or £20 makes a difference. It all adds up and helps provide accommodation, support and opportunities for young people who desperately need them.

☀️ MY SUMMER SO FAR… ☀️

What a summer it’s been! 🥰

A busy few months at BeautybyYasmin, getting everyone holiday-ready ☀️✈️ — and celebrating my dark tan client Andrew coming 3rd in his bodybuilding competition! 🥉🏆

I’ve also had some amazing adventures — camping at Shell Island, a cabin stay in the Lake District, exploring Hadrian’s Wall, Elford Walled Gardens and the Pencil Museum ✏️😂 (which I absolutely loved because I LOVE pencils!)

There’s been tea and cake with Auntie Ann ☕️🍰, lunches, movies with friends, coffees, catch-ups and plenty of lovely moments. ❤️

And yes… even a tiny bit of drama 😂🍿 — apparently even your name can have a sequel! 😜 IYKYK

And this summer also brought the sad loss of the incredible Dolly Parton. 💔 What a legend. A woman who stood for kindness, hard work, generosity and giving back — values I really admire. ❤️🕊️

So many memories made, and still plenty of summer left! ☀️🥰

✨ FROM BODYBUILDING PREP TO DIAMANTÉ SANDALS! ✨

What a wonderfully varied day at BeautybyYasmin! 😍

Today I had the pleasure of giving the beautiful Amelia her first ever professional toenail polish — a gorgeous crisp white Shellac 🤍✨

And they looked absolutely beautiful peeking through her diamanté sandals! 💎

I have to say, I LOVE how different my days can be!

One minute I’m working with the darkest of dark tans getting a bodybuilder competition-ready 💪🏽🤎, and the next I’m helping a teenager enjoy her very first professional nail appointment! 💅🏽✨

From bodybuilding competitions to first nail experiences… you really never know what’s coming through the salon door! 😂❤️

I absolutely LOVE how versatile my job is! 😍

Today I had the pleasure of helping the lovely Andrew get competition-ready for his bodybuilding competition tomorrow! 🏆💪🏽

From the before ➡️ through the application ➡️ to the finished result… 🔥

I love that no two days are ever the same. One day I’m doing a relaxing massage or facial, and the next I’m helping someone prepare for such an exciting and important day!

Andrew was such a lovely guy and an absolute pleasure to meet. ❤️

2019… I took a risk.

Anyone who knows me knows I’m not really a risk taker, so even writing that makes me smile.

I was ready for a change. After years in the city, I took on a new lease closer to home with a plan to slowly transition over while running both salons with my assistant.

Then I was handed this… a completely blank canvas.

And when I say blank canvas, I mean exactly that.

Not long after opening, COVID hit. Lockdowns came, uncertainty followed, and like so many small businesses, I wondered if we’d make it through.

Looking back now, I can honestly say I’ve lost a lot… but I’ve gained so much more.

This little salon has been built with determination, hard work, tears, laughter, and an incredible amount of support from my wonderful clients.

Watching where it started and seeing where it is today fills me with so much gratitude. Sometimes it’s only when you look back that you realise just how far you’ve come.

Here’s to every challenge, every lesson, and every new chapter. ❤️
