Hi, I’m Leigh 👋🏻

I’m a sports therapist / rehab specialist and over the years I’ve worked with everyone from people dealing with everyday aches and pains to athletes trying to get back performing at their best.

The longer I’ve done this job, the more I’ve realised rehab isn’t just about chasing pain.

A lot of the time it’s about understanding why things are happening in the first place, improving how the body moves, building confidence again, and giving people a clear plan forward.

That’s the side of the job I love most.

No BS.
No overcomplicating things.
No pretending there’s a magic one-exercise fix.

Just honest assessment, movement analysis, rehab, and helping people move better and feel more confident in their body again 💪🏻

Stretching your hip flexors every day…
but they still feel tight?

It’s not that you need more stretching.
It’s that it’s not the real problem.

👉 It’s position.

If your pelvis sits tipped forward all day, your hip flexors are already under load.
So stretching them harder can irritate them.

What actually helps:
– Get the pelvis under control
– Get the glutes working
– Then the stretch works

Most hip & low back pain isn’t flexibility…
it’s control + loading.

That’s what I assess properly in clinic.

If this sounds like you → DM me “HIP”
(can’t make it in? I’ve got plans for this too 👌)

Stop chasing the stretch. Fix the cause.

Your spine is designed to rotate.

But people barely can barely use it.

Between sitting, training in straight lines, and avoiding certain movements…
rotation is one of the first things we lose.

Then when we try to move or train - it feels “tight” or restricted.

This isn’t about forcing range.
It’s about reintroducing movement your body should already have.

Start slow, stay controlled, and build it back over time.

If rotation feels limited or uncomfortable, it’s something we need to work on.. not avoid.

If you want help building this back properly, drop me a message.

Your hip isn’t just there to move your leg.

It plays a role in how you walk, run, squat… pretty much everything.

When it’s not doing its job properly, other areas can start picking up the slack.

That’s when things can start to feel off.

Understanding it is step one..

This is what we actually look at in person.

Be honest.. do your hips feel tight no matter how much you stretch? You’re not alone. Most patients I work with feel the same way at first.

The missing piece? Teaching your hips how to move under control, not just forcing them into stretches. Once you add that strength layer, things shift.

If you’re reading this and thinking ‘that’s me,’ I’ve put together a simple step-by-step plan that does exactly that. It’s waiting for you at the link in my bio.. think of it as me coaching you personally through what your hips actually need!

The ability to hinge the hip is a crucial component of bending forwards. Allowing the hamstrings and hip rotators to lengthen 💪🏻

After back pain it’s common for this pattern to restricted due to pain, weakness, fear of movement. This can also be effected after a hamstring/glute injury or even a knee issue 😏

These options can help to encourage the confidence to hinge back into the body before then looking at loading the movement for even more control and strength 🔥

Leave a YES in the comments if you suffer with lower back pain when leaning forwards!
