I think Jimmy likes his new nose… 😂

Before treatment, patients have usually spent years looking at the thing that bothered them in the mirror.

So, we love seeing patients check out their result from every possible angle after treatment. And seeing them love their reflection.

And that feeling is really what our work is all about.

We met Jimmy, looked at what he wanted to change, and showed you what can be achieved with a non-surgical rhinoplasty. And now he can't stop looking at it 🥰

This coming week, we're rewinding a little and taking you through exactly what Jimmy's treatment involved, including the question everyone wants answered: does it hurt?

📩 If Jimmy's result has got you thinking about what treatment could achieve for you, book a consultation with Dr Farmah to find out what's possible.

How can adding filler make a nose seem smaller? 🤔

It can seem counterintuitive until you see it. But it’s all about careful assessment of your anatomy and skilled injecting.

By strategically placing filler, we can change the proportions and how the different parts of the nose relate to each other. And sometimes a few carefully considered changes are enough to make the whole profile look much more balanced.

And Jimmy's reaction tells you what he thinks of his result 😊

Part 3 is the important bit: how changes like this can make you feel.

📩 If you've wondered what non-surgical treatment could do for you, book a consultation with Dr Farmah.

I gave my barber a new nose: Meet Jimmy

Jimmy cuts my hair. I offered to treat his nose. Seemed like a fair arrangement!

Joking aside, Jimmy had been bothered by his side profile for a long time.

And I know that a lot of people feel the same way about their nose: it’s the thing their eye goes to immediately in the mirror and in photos.

So, over the next couple of posts, I'm going to show you how I helped Jimmy to feel good about his nose.

Next up: how adding filler can actually make a nose look smaller.

📩 If you relate and there’s something that always catches your eye in the mirror, book a consultation to talk about what we could achieve for you.

Considering hair restoration? Consider this…

Exosome treatment is still relatively new, which makes the clinical judgement behind it especially important.

Your provider should understand hair loss, assess whether you’re genuinely suitable and explain both the possibilities and limitations of treatment clearly.

At Dr Aesthetica, treatment is provided by a qualified practitioner within our CQC-regulated clinic, and only recommended when we believe it could be worthwhile for you.

If you’d like to discuss your hair concerns, book a consultation.

Missed parts one and two? Head to our feed for more information on how these hair restoration treatments work and what you can realistically expect.

What to really expect from hair restoration treatment…

Exosomes are delivered through a series of small injections into the scalp, with minimal discomfort and very little downtime. It’s a treatment that can sit comfortably within an ordinary week.

A transplant involves surgery and therefore a more involved treatment and recovery process.

Both require patience, as results aren’t immediate.

If surgery feels like a bigger step than you’re ready for, get in touch to ask whether Exosomes may offer another option.

Missed part one? Head over to our feed for the lowdown on how Exosomes and hair transplants work. And look out for part three for what you need to know when choosing a provider.

Stop! Watch this before you consider surgery

A hair transplant may be the better-known solution to hair loss, but it isn’t necessarily the best starting point for someone experiencing thinning.

Where healthy follicles remain, Exosomes may offer a non-surgical option for improving the condition and density of the existing hair.

If you’re unsure whether your hair needs support or replacement, a hair and scalp assessment will help you understand which route is most appropriate for you.

Noticed your hair beginning to thin? Book an assessment to find out whether Exosomes could be suitable.

And keep your eyes on our feed for the next two parts in this series, where we’ll explain what to expect and what to consider when choosing a provider.

Cut the crap: Biostimulation | Fancy word, simple idea

Aesthetics loves complicated terminology. But you don't need to wade through the science jargon to understand the point of biostimulation.

Filler adds volume. Biostimulators take a different approach, encouraging your skin to produce more of its own collagen and improve its quality from within.

And that's really the point of this whole ‘Cut the Crap’ series: once you understand what treatments actually do, it's much easier to have a sensible conversation about what might work for you.

Crap cut! ✂️

And if you missed Parts 1 & 2, head back to our feed for a no-nonsense breakdown of Exosomes and why one treatment alone can’t meet all of your skin’s needs.

Cut the crap: One treatment can’t do everything for your skin

Your skin can have more than one thing going on at once.

So if you want to improve loose skin as well as texture, why would we expect one treatment to do both effectively?

That's where combining treatments comes in.

NuEra RadioFrequency and SkinPen Microneedling each have their own job. Put them together and we can work on different concerns at the same time.

Then add in Growth Factors to support the repair process, and you’re optimising your results even further.

Missed Part 1? We cut through the hype around Exosomes and explained what they actually do.

Next up: what on earth is a biostimulator? ✂️

👉🏽 Not sure what your skin actually needs? Book a consultation with Dr Farmah for straightforward advice and a treatment plan that makes sense for you.

Cut the crap: What do Exosomes actually do?

Exosomes are everywhere right now but no treatment gets a free pass at Dr Aesthetica just because it's trending.

And there’s so much complicated language surrounding them that it’s easy to lose sight of what they actually do.

The key is that Exosomes are all about communication: carrying signals that encourage your own cells to get back to work on repair and regeneration.

And, yes, they really do work to renew your skin and hair.

That’s Exosomes, crap officially cut! ✂️

Next up: why one treatment alone can’t do it all for your skin.

A decent treatment can still be the wrong choice

One of the biggest misconceptions in aesthetics is that regenerative treatments all do the same thing.

They don't.

If someone tells me they weren't impressed with Polynucleotides, the question we need to answer is "Were they the right treatment for what you wanted to improve?"

That's where experience matters.

Choosing the right regenerative treatment - whether that's Sunekos, Polynucleotides or another option - is every bit as important as choosing a good one.
