Cosy Yoga - Yoga Nidra Soundscapes Birmingham UK

Cosy Yoga - Yoga Nidra Soundscapes Birmingham UK I help people relax, realign, & rejuvenate. Yoga Nidra
Includes no movement, stretching, or strengthening.

Cosy Yoga is especially for those suffering from insomnia, stress, overwhelm, pain & inappropriate work-life balance. All you need to do is lie down in a comfortable position and be open to all the benefits. This technique will rejuvenate your body/ mind and heal you on an emotional level while resolving problems as the right and left hemispheres of your brain meet and harmonise, resulting in solu

tions. It is a practice of the mind, but it is effortless and is deeply effective on the body which will remain in ‘ pose (lying down). In Yoga Nidra you’ll experience a state known as ‘the witness self’, whereby your awareness is suspended between the stages of dream and sleep. This is why you will feel like you’ve been;
On a little holiday......a restful state, a place away from your daily problems, while solving them at the same time. Had a massage
Or been in a hydrotherapy/ flotation tank. In this, receive a 20 minute Nidra, a Nidra accompanied with a mini sound bath, and an opportunity to meet others and share your experience of the journey you received. When you come back, you are renewed and more detached, which enables you to see things more clearly. Your body is renewed on a cellular level
You will feel energised, yet grounded. Sound Healing
In my repertoire, you will hear different sounds, such, as singing bowls, percussion instruments, the naked voice. These musical instruments will be used either as sound effects to enhance the theme of the Nidra, I incorporate the live playing of these healing Sound Baths. So you deepen the theme on the Nidra and receive the healing vibrations of the instruments.

What if Saturday afternoon wasn’t for catching up?

Not catching up with the washing.

Not catching up with work.

Not catching up with everybody you still haven’t replied to.

And not using your weekend to recover just enough to start all over again on Monday.

What if, for a couple of hours, you were allowed to simply…

STOP?

September has this funny way of making us feel as though we should suddenly have our act together.

Back to work.
Back to routine.
Back to being productive.
Back. On. It.

But perhaps your body is asking for something else.

Perhaps it needs REST.

At my Yoga Nidra Soundscape, you arrive, take off your shoes, choose your little nest, lie down, get warm and close your eyes.

Then I take over. 🫂

I’ll guide you into Yoga Nidra — that delicious space somewhere between waking and sleeping — accompanied by sound, vibration and healing instruments.

There’s nothing to achieve.
You don’t have to be experienced in meditation.
You don’t have to be flexible.
You don’t have to empty your mind.
You don’t even have to stay awake. 😴

Come frazzled.
Come tired.
Come with a brain that won’t shut up.

You don’t have to arrive already relaxed in order to learn how to rest.

You just have to get yourself there. Then lie down and let me take you the rest of the way.

Maybe September doesn’t need another thing for you to achieve.

Maybe it needs somewhere for you to stop.

My Yoga Nidra Soundscape event is an invitation to do exactly that.

Esme has sold fruit and veg in Brixton Market for 22 years. Now the market is being sold, and traders like her fear a corporate buyer could price them out within months. Can you help Dionne protect it?

A NEW SEASON BEGINS 🌿
Yoga Nidra Soundscape | 12 August 4:30-6:45pm

Hello you 💛

It’s been a little while since I’ve written. I hope summer has given you something you needed — sunshine, adventure, rest, laughter, space, or perhaps simply a few moments to yourself.

And if something beautiful happened in your world this summer, you’re always welcome to tell me. I’d genuinely love to hear about it.

As summer begins to turn towards its next chapter, I’m opening the doors to a new season of Yoga Nidra Soundscape events.

And it feels fitting that we begin with NEW BEGINNINGS.

There is something about this time of year that still carries that back-to-school feeling, even when our school days are long behind us.

A fresh page.
A new rhythm.
A chance to gather ourselves again.

So our 12 August Yoga Nidra Soundscape will be a conscious threshold between what has been and what comes next.

A chance to lie down.

Exhale.

Let the nervous system soften.

And enter that beautiful space between wakefulness and sleep, accompanied by sound, vibration and the deeply restorative practice of Yoga Nidra.

We’ll explore new beginnings, changing seasons and the intentions we want to carry into this next chapter of the year.

Not necessarily reinventing ourselves.

Not another list of things we should achieve.

Just making enough space to hear what might already be quietly calling us.

I Care To Listen
I Care To Act On Your Behalf
I Care To Advice
I Care Enough To Check In With You

A good ceremonist start with being a good person, and good with people. So how can we define ‘good’? People growing more impatient with the help of the instatant results one gets from Ai, expressing care is the action of listening with takes time. It’s human nature to want to feel heard, seen, understood, and have space to ‘Be’ you.

Just as a smile travels from the lips to the eyes, so does empathy, go from the heart to the eyes.

Working with a celebrant who constantly works on his or herself is a wonderful way to ensure they have the patience to be your celebrant, clarity to define what they’ll do for you.

If you want see such beings in a world that's neglecting such values then you can support the cause right in the comments 👇🏼

With Thanks,

Dionne.

Help Dionne Keep Her Home, Her Ability To Work, & Her Independence
Have you ever been able to follow a funeral cortège on a bus? This is why we are helping this disabled celebrant raise funds for a car. Which isn’t a luxury — it’s the essential difference between being able to work and get the independence she needs to help others.

Thank You... We're Nearly Halfway There

When I launched this campaign, I honestly didn't know what to expect.

Today, thanks to your kindness, generosity, encouragement, prayers, dedications, and shares, we've raised £1,800 — 47% of the way towards the target.

I'm deeply grateful to every single person who has donated, shared the campaign, made a dedication, or simply taken the time to send words of encouragement. Every act of support has reminded me that this work matters, and that I'm not walking this path alone.

Reaching almost half of the target feels like a real milestone. It means that becoming fully mobile as a disabled, black, bisexual female Buddhist civil celebrant is no longer just a hope—it's becoming a genuine possibility.

We're now over halfway through the campaign, so this is the moment when sharing becomes especially powerful. If you've already donated, one of the greatest ways you can continue to help is by sharing the campaign with your friends, family, colleagues, or community. You never know who might read my story and feel moved to support.

This campaign has never really been about buying a car. It's about removing one practical barrier so I can continue serving families through weddings, funerals, naming ceremonies, and life's many transitions with dignity, compassion, and presence. It's about making it possible for me to build a sustainable livelihood, without jeopardising my health as I continue my Buddhist practice and serve others.

Thank you for believing in me, in this work, and in the difference it can make.

With love, gratitude and hope,

Dionne

Fancy A Cuppa - On The Road To A Car

I’m is raising funds to buy an accessible car (automatic to be precise because of all my health conditions). I’m unable to work without a car because ceremonies are held in multiple locations throughout a day and is held on a tight schedule.

I’m asking for the price of a coffee, which doesn’t feel like much on its own. But across a community, it can be the thing that changes everything, and helps me keep doing work that matters to so many people.
