Today we celebrated Jamaica Independence Day in style! 🇯🇲✨

Independence Day is the national day of Jamaica, celebrated annually on 6 August to mark the anniversary of the Jamaica Independence Act 1962.

We honored this special day with fantastic themed activities, delicious homemade Jamaican food, and vibrant reggae music that got everyone straight onto their feet! 💃🏽🇯🇲🎶

It was a truly special day filled with joy, culture, and celebration.

We’re proud to introduce Raina and Nadia, our Dementia Care Coaches at Elderflower Grange.

A huge congratulations to both of them on successfully achieving their Dementia Care Champion and Namaste Care Train the Trainer qualifications.

Their passion, knowledge and commitment help our team deliver outstanding, person-centred dementia care, ensuring every resident is treated with dignity, compassion and respect every day.

✨ A Lovely Day Out at the Botanical Gardens! ✨

This week we took our residents to the beautiful Botanical Gardens for a wonderful day out 🌸🌿 We enjoyed gentle strolls around the grounds, admired all the colourful flowers and lush greenery, then stopped for a lovely picnic together in the sunshine 🥪🧺 There were smiles, chats and happy memories all round!

Trips like these mean so much to everyone at Elderflower Grange – getting out, enjoying nature and sharing special moments together 💛

We are all set and ready here at Elderflower Grange for the big match tonight! 🥳 Everyone’s got their colours on, the drinks are poured, snacks are at the ready, and we’ve got our fingers crossed for the team. There’s such a brilliant buzz around the home as we come together to cheer England on – let’s hope for a fantastic game and that famous win! 🎉⚽

🌿 We had the loveliest minibus trip out with our wonderful Albertha to the local garden centre! She enjoyed exploring all the beautiful plants and flowers, and of course stopped off at the cafe for a nice drink and a sit down too 🫖🌸

Getting out and about is such an important part of life at Elderflower Grange. Trips like these bring joy, spark happy memories, keep us connected to our community and make every day feel special — it’s all part of creating fulfilling lives together 💛

🎉 WHAT A DAY! The Grand Launch of Elderflower Grange was nothing short of magical! 🥂✨

We were absolutely thrilled to officially open our doors with a spectacular celebration. We were honored to have Aston Villa FC legend Tony Morley help cut the ribbon, alongside our first resident .✂️🎀⚽

Our guests were captivated all afternoon, thanks to the mind-boggling talents of magician Andrew Kelly :: Magician 🪄🃏 and the beautiful, soulful sounds of singer Francis Dwane & Tony Wall, who provided the perfect soundtrack to our celebration. 🎤🎶

The absolute highlight of the day, however, was a truly breathtaking speech from our very first resident Albertha. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house! Albertha's moving words about community, new beginnings, and what it means to call Elderflower Grange home left many of us in tears. 🥹❤️

A massive thank you to everyone who joined us, performed, and worked behind the scenes to make our Grand Launch an unforgettable success.🌸🥂✨

🎂 Birthdays at Elderflower Grange are always so special

We believe every single birthday deserves to feel truly magical — and we always go the extra mile to make sure our residents feel loved, celebrated and right at the heart of everything we do.

Recently we had the absolute pleasure of celebrating Kathleen’s special day! 🥳 We filled our home with laughter, joined together to sing the happiest of birthday songs, and spoiled her with the most beautiful cake — all made with care just for her.

We were also so lucky to have the wonderful Pavlo Pinto join us, who made the day even more memorable with his lovely performance.

It’s these moments that make our work so rewarding — because here at Elderflower Grange, it’s not just about marking another year, it’s about making every single one count. 💜
