There’s been plenty of game time at Manor House Care Home recently! 🎲💜

Our wonderful residents have been getting stuck into all sorts of games, from ball games and tabletop favourites to trying out some new ones too. There’s been plenty of friendly competition, with everyone cheering each other on and showing off their skills.

It’s always lovely to see everyone getting involved and having a bit of fun together 😊

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make our recent raffle at Manor House Care Home such a success! 🌞🎉 We’re especially grateful to Hawthorn Fish Bar for their generous £15 voucher and Foot Health Care By Claire for her £25 donation, as well as everyone who donated raffle prizes, tombola treats, bottles, bric a brac and more. Together, we raised over £500! 💜

We also have a lovely thank you to Claire , who handed us a fantastic collection of books as she was leaving the home. Our residents are already having a browse, and our bookshelf is looking rather lovely with all the new additions 📚

From gripping mysteries and cosy classics to heartwarming stories and page turners, there’s something for everyone. Thank you, Claire, for such a thoughtful donation and for your continued support of our residents ❤️

As summer comes to an end, we’re looking back at some of our August highlights across Gold Care Homes ☀️💜

With plenty of summer sunshine, our homes found ways to enjoy the summer while keeping cool, with ice creams and ice cream van visits proving particularly popular! 🍦

We also put the kettle on for Afternoon Tea Week, enjoyed some well-earned downtime for National Relaxation Day and made the most of the Summer Bank Holiday.

Recently at Manor House Care Home , we’ve had two lovely birthdays to celebrate! 🎂🥳

Eileen enjoyed a special day surrounded by family and friends, with beautiful flowers, cards and gifts to make her birthday extra special💐

We also celebrated Shirley’s birthday, with family, friends and our team sharing lots of love and birthday wishes with her💜

There was plenty of singing throughout the afternoon, but one of our favourite moments was coming together to sing Happy Birthday. Our wonderful residents, families and friends all joined in, and it made for a lovely moment to capture on camera 💜

😎 What a brilliant afternoon at Manor House Care Home !

Our Summer Fête brought together our wonderful residents, families, friends, volunteers and local community for an afternoon of stalls, games, tasty treats and live music from the wonderful Suzie-Law Singing Memories . There was plenty to enjoy, and our residents did a fantastic job helping to run some of the stalls too 💜

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and made the afternoon so special. We loved seeing so many familiar faces and enjoying a fantastic day together!

We’re really pleased to be able to open up our space here at Manor House Care Home to support our local community 💜

Our conservatory is available free of charge for community groups, healthcare professionals and local charities to use for meetings, gatherings or small events. It’s a lovely, bright space and we’d love to see it being used in a way that brings people together.

There’s been plenty of game time at Manor House Care Home ! 🎲💜

Our wonderful residents have been getting stuck into all sorts, from ball games and tabletop games to jigsaws, music and movement. There’s been a bit of friendly competition along the way too, with everyone cheering each other on and showing off their skills.

It’s been lovely seeing everyone getting involved and enjoying some good old fashioned fun together 😊

Fancy joining in with one of our regular groups at ? We’ve got plenty going on! 💜

Our weekly knitting group is a lovely chance for residents to sit together, have a chat and enjoy some time doing something they love. There’s always someone happy to share a tip or lend a helping hand too 🧶

Then on Wednesday, it was the turn of our Dominoes Club, with Caroline’s sister joining us for a few games. There was some friendly competition, plenty of laughs and a bit of thinking involved too! 💙
