✨ Delighted and deeply honoured to have been awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP), London.
Five years ago, I passed the Respiratory Specialty Exit Examination (SCE). Two years ago, I achieved my dual Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Respiratory and General Internal Medicine. Since then, I have had the privilege of serving as a Respiratory Consultant and NIV Service Lead at University Hospitals Birmingham, while continuing to pursue research, medical education, leadership, and service development.
Today, I am incredibly grateful to receive the Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians, London.
Many describe FRCP as a career milestone. Others see it as another achievement or a box to tick. For me, it is neither.
It is a stepping stone.
A reminder that every achievement brings greater responsibility - to keep learning, to challenge myself, to contribute to research and innovation, to mentor the next generation of clinicians, and above all, to provide the very best care for my patients.
None of this would have been possible without the support of my family, mentors, colleagues, and friends, for whom I am sincerely grateful.
The journey doesn’t end with FRCP. If anything, it has just become even more meaningful. Here’s to the next chapter.
