🎶✨ What a wonderful time we've had today! ✨🌈

Our residents thoroughly enjoyed a sing-along featuring the timeless classics of Frank Sinatra. Music has a wonderful way of bringing back cherished memories, encouraging conversation, lifting spirits, and bringing everyone together. It was lovely to see so many smiles, laughter, and even a few dancing feet!

We also spent time using our Rainbow Table, which provided a fun and interactive sensory experience. The colourful activities encouraged creativity, supported cognitive stimulation, promoted social interaction, and helped improve hand-eye coordination, all while offering a calming and enjoyable activity for everyone involved.

Days like these remind us how meaningful music and sensory activities can be in enhancing wellbeing, promoting connection, and creating joyful moments for our residents. ❤️

✨ This week at Castlebank, we’ve been getting creative with some beautiful decoupage on shells! 🐚🎨 Each one is unique, and our residents have done a fantastic job creating these lovely keepsakes.

Creative activities like decoupage help improve fine motor skills, encourage concentration, stimulate creativity, and provide a wonderful sense of achievement. Most importantly, they offer a relaxing opportunity to socialise, reminisce, and have fun together 💙

Yesterday, we enjoyed a few games of skittles! 🎳😊

There was plenty of friendly competition, laughter, and encouragement as everyone put their aiming skills to the test. Skittles is a brilliant activity for keeping active, improving coordination, and bringing people together for lots of fun. 💙

Our residents enjoyed painting beautiful beach scenes using acrylics and shells, while others spent time reading, completing jigsaw puzzles, and catching up with our fortnightly Familio magazine. It was a lovely afternoon filled with smiles, creativity, conversation, and plenty of enjoyment 💙✨

Did you know that keeping in touch with loved ones has never been easier?

Our home uses Famileo, a wonderful family communication app that allows relatives and friends to share photos and messages with their loved ones. These are then turned into a personalised gazette, giving residents something special to read, look through, and treasure.
For those living with dementia, familiar faces, family stories, and cherished memories can provide comfort, spark conversations, encourage reminiscence, and help maintain meaningful connections with the people who matter most.

Whether it's photos from a family day out, a grandchild's latest achievement, a holiday snap, or simply a message to say "We're thinking of you," every update helps brighten someone's day.

If you're not already signed up, we'd love to help you get started! Simply speak to our Activities Coordinator or our Admin Team and we'll guide you through the quick and easy setup process.

🎨💙 A splash of colour, creativity, and wonderful conversations!

Our residents enjoyed a relaxing watercolour painting session, expressing themselves through beautiful colours and unique creations. There were smiles, laughter, and plenty of opportunities to reminisce as each masterpiece came to life.

Creative activities like painting can help support wellbeing, encourage self-expression, stimulate memories, and provide a calming, enjoyable experience for people living with dementia. Most importantly, it's about having fun and celebrating every individual's creativity.

We're so proud of our talented artists and the joy they bring to our home every day. 🖌️

It’s been a pleasure seeing them enjoy delicious meals, share plenty of smiles, and spend quality time with friends and staff throughout the week. Moments like these remind us that it’s the little things that make each day special 🥰
