Yes, the goggles are mandatory—and yes, they look adorable! 😎
But behind the cute photo is a powerhouse treatment for senior dogs and post-op dogs.

If your dog is stiff rising from their bed, hesitant on stairs, or recovering from a cruciate ligament surgery, laser therapy is a game-changer.

Unlike medication, it has zero systemic side effects. It directly targets the problem area to increase circulation and bring rapid pain relief. I frequently combine it with manual therapy to get the absolute best results.

Is your dog slowing down?
Is your dog due or just had surgery?

Did you know ……
Even the best physio can’t fix a problem caused by a poorly fixed saddle.

Muscle atrophy behind the shoulders or white hairs along the spine are major 🚩 to a physio.

I love collaborating with local saddle fitters to ensure your horse stays pain free.

When was your saddle last checked?

We all know our dogs need cardio, but are you working on their Core Strength and Flexibility?

Think of your dog’s core as the "bridge" between their front and back legs. When that bridge is weak, everything else has to work twice as hard to keep them moving. You know how easy it is to injure ourselves when I core is weak.

Here is why a regular routine of exercises (just 5–10 mins, 3x a week!) is a game-changer:

✅ Injury Protection: A strong core acts like a natural brace for the spine.

✅ Mobility: Flexibility exercises keep joints lubricated and muscles strong and healthy.

✅ Better Balance: Core work engages the tiny stabiliser muscles.

✅ The "Spinal Shield": For long-backed breeds (Dachshunds, Corgis) or active athletes, a strong "abdominal corset" helps to protect their back.

If you want more information about improving your dogs core strength and flexibility then comment below and I’ll tell you all about my upcoming programme.

COULD YOU SAVE YOUR DOG’S LIFE IN 60 SECONDS? ⚠️

Most of us have a first aid kit for ourselves, but what happens if your dog chokes on a treat, gets a deep cut on a walk, or overheats at the park? 🐾

The first few minutes of an emergency are the most critical. Knowing dog first aid isn't about replacing the vet—it’s about stabilising your best friend so they can get to the vet safely.

Why every dog owner needs the basics:

✅ Panic Prevention: When you know what to do, you stay calm. When you’re calm, your dog stays calm.

✅ CPR Knowledge: It sounds scary, but it’s a literal life-saver.

✅ Hidden Dangers: Do you know how to handle a snake bite or what to do when your dog eats the Christmas chocolates?

Join Lotte and I on our next Canine First Aid on Saturday 23rd May 10am to 4pm at Little Hallingbury Village Hall.
Comment for the full details and booking link.

Quick Tip: Keep your vet’s number and the nearest out of hours practice saved in your "Favourites" on your phone. It saves precious seconds when they matter most.

Physio ISN’T just massage and exercises!

While hands-on work and rehab exercises are a huge part of what I do, my "toolkit" goes much deeper!

As a dedicated animal physio, I focus on the whole patient—treating the root cause of pain and accelerating recovery using evidence-based techniques.

Did you know I can also help with wound healing?

Using advanced electrotherapies like Laser/Phototherapy, I can:
✅ Stimulate cellular regeneration to speed up healing.

✅ Reduce inflammation and minimize scar tissue.

✅ Improve circulation to help wounds close faster.

Whether it’s post-op care, chronic arthritis, or a tricky wound that needs a helping hand.

These two pictures are of Lemony’s wound. She had a sacroid removed and due to the location of it it was taking a while to heal. I was looking after Lemony for a few days while her owners were away so we decided to give phototherapy a try. For 5 days she had a treatment twice a day and you can see how much of a difference it made.

If your horse has a wound that’s taking a while to heal then feel free to get in touch for a chat.

I've loved running the Strong Dog Challenge this week and seeing exactly what a simple exercise such as a sit can tell us about our dogs.

A sit really is so much more than just a sit...
It can tell us if there's musculoskeletal alignment issues, injury, joint issues and what our dogs core strength is like.

Giving us a real insight into our dogs physical wellbeing.

5 Actions you can take today to help your animals during this cold weather.

1. Wash your dogs paws after their walks to remove any salt or ice.

2. Make sure your elderly, young or thin coated dogs have a warm coat on when they go outside.

3. Make sure your horses have access to fresh water, break the ice and remove to prevent the whole bucket/trough from freezing.

4. Bring your small furries inside, either in a room in the house or in a shed. Make sure they have lots of bedding to keep them warm.

5. Increase forage for your horses. Feeding extra hay helps horses generate body heat through digestion.

Save this post so you can come back to it.

January is a fresh book. No misprints, no dog-eared pages—just a clean start and endless possibilities.

Nows the time to think about what your plans are for your animals during 2026.

My plans are:

🐶 Continue with Rafa’s pet Gun dog training as he loves it’s!

🐴 Spend more time with Mickey doing in hand work.

🐴🐶 Go on more hacks/ walks with these 3

Comment below with what you have planned.
It’s a great way of having accountability too 😉
