We’re thrilled to share that the evening was a fantastic success, raising just over £3,000! 🎉
Our black-tie fundraising evening was in aid of three fantastic charities:

✈️🌍 ARMCHAIR TRAVEL 🇨🇾☀️
MEADOWBROOK TO CYPRUS

No passports or luggage needed as our residents at Meadowbrook jetted off on another Armchair Travel adventure – this time all the way to the beautiful island of Cyprus! 🏝️✈️

We were incredibly lucky to have our very own Cypriot team member, Nancy as our tour guide for the day! 🇨🇾❤️ Nancy shared her knowledge of the country, taught everyone some Cypriot lingo, gave our residents a wonderful insight into the culture, traditions, taste of the local food and life in Cyprus.

There was lots of learning, laughter and plenty of holiday spirit along the way! 🌞🌊

A huge thank you to Nancy for bringing Cyprus to Meadowbrook and making our journey extra special! 💙

Recently, Meadowbrook Care Home joined forces with two of its sister homes, The Chase and Henbrook House, for a very special community charity auction.
The black-tie fundraising evening brought together residents, families, friends and members of the wider community, all in support of three fantastic charities: Isabel Hospice, Three Pillars Homeless Charity and SSAFA, the Armed Forces Charity.
Hosted at The Chase, the evening was filled with laughter, generosity and plenty of friendly competition, with an incredible selection of auction lots up for grabs.
A huge thank you to everyone who donated prizes, supported the event and helped make the evening such a success 🤩

🌟 What a wonderful week we’ve had at Meadowbrook! 🌟

It’s been another busy and fun-filled week for our residents, with plenty of opportunities to keep active, socialise, laugh, celebrate and, of course, have a good singalong! ❤️

We’ve continued with our weekly exercise classes led by our fantastic in house PT, Glenn Bowers, alongside our wonderful Activities Team. 💪🏽🏋️‍♀️

Our resident favourites have also been back in full swing, including Bingo, Bowls and our weekly quiz — always guaranteed to bring out a little friendly competition! 🎱📝

We’ve also enjoyed some fun coordination games to get everyone moving, followed by plenty of dancing and singing with the wonderful Colin Wells ! 🎤💃🕺

This week was also extra special as we celebrated a wonderful 70th wedding anniversary for two of our residents! 💍❤️ What an incredible milestone and such a beautiful achievement to celebrate together. We were delighted to help them mark 70 years of love, laughter and memories with their Meadowbrook family. 🥂✨

And today, we had a very special impromptu singalong, requested by our residents as we remembered and celebrated the incredible Dolly Parton.❤️🎶

There really is nothing better than seeing our residents enjoying themselves, sharing memories, celebrating special milestones and making new ones together. What a week! 🥰

🚢 Meadowbrook Summer Cruise Party 🚢

Wow! What a wonderful afternoon we had yesterday with residents, friends, family and the local community. ⚓️

We enjoyed food from Greece 🇬🇷 , Spain 🇪🇸, Italy 🇮🇹, the Caribbean and Belgium 🇧🇪. Our kitchen team did a wonderful job preparing all the delicious tasters for our party. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food.

We had entertainment from the wonderful Katie who had everyone singing along to tunes we all know and love. 🎤

Thank you to everyone who came and enjoyed Meadowbrook’s Summer Party we look forward to seeing you all soon. 😊
