The harder you love, the harder the loss. ❤️
Grief comes in waves 🌊 and although you know the time will come when she leaves this world, you never really realise how much it will hit you or how heavy the ache in your heart will feel.
My Nan wasn’t just a nan to me and my sister Emma, she was our mother, our guide, our best friend, and the person we trusted most in the world. We could confide in her with anything, and we feel so incredibly blessed to have had her in our lives.
She was the kindest, warmest and most gentle person. Even as her mobility declined, she never complained. She faced life with gratitude, always seeing the good. She often said how lucky she felt and that as long as she had her family, she needed little else.
She showed her love in so many ways—knitting jumpers and cardigans, mending cuddly toys, listening without judgement, and always knowing just what to say.
One of the greatest joys was watching the beautiful bond she shared with her great-granddaughter Bonnie. 💕With 88 years between them, they adored each other. Watching a 96-year-old Nan and her 8-year-old great-granddaughter share so much love, laughter and tenderness was one of the most beautiful things to witness.
We would talk for hours, laugh, play Scrabble, and simply enjoy being together. Those memories are ones I’ll treasure forever. Even near the end, there was no letting us have any easy chances—Nan wanted to win, and that always made us smile.😊
I know you are one of my strongest guides now, and that you are only across the veil. ✨Your light and soul essence continue alongside Grandad in the spirit realm, and that brings me so much comfort.
I’ll keep meditating, I’ll stay devoted to my practice, and I’ll always keep your wonderful qualities stored safely in my heart.
Love you forever Nan. ❤️i promise il look after mum 💕
✨ The magic of love will always be found in the simple things in life. ✨
