Something is changing at Whispers… 👀

There have been a few more introductions than usual, a few unfamiliar faces around the place, and we may have needed to make a little extra room this week.

We’re not giving too much away just yet, but there are six very good reasons to keep an eye on our page. All will be revealed later this week.

Steve, our Training Manager here at Whispers, is looking for two people to join him in delivering Oliver McGowan Tier 2 Training at Whispers HQ.

We’d love to hear from people who:

💜 Have lived experience of a learning disability / learning difficulties, or are autistic / on the autism spectrum

💙 Have previously been involved in delivering Oliver McGowan Tier 2 Training

We’re looking for people who would feel comfortable working alongside Steve, sharing their own experiences and helping others develop a better understanding of learning disability and autism.

Your lived experience, knowledge and perspective are a really important part of making this training meaningful.

A huge well done to Steve and Isaac on completing their Oliver McGowan Training this week! 👏

They’re now qualified to deliver the training through The Whispers Academy, which means even more of our care staff will have the opportunity to build their knowledge, confidence and skills.

We know that when our team feels supported and empowered, the people we care for benefit too. We're excited to see this training rolled out and the positive difference it will make across our services.
