I use my hands to do more than just massage—they help me listen.

Palpation is one of the most important parts of an equine sports massage assessment. By carefully feeling through the muscles and soft tissues, I can detect areas of tension, heat, sensitivity, muscle tone changes, or restrictions that your horse can’t tell us about with words.

Every horse is constantly communicating. Through skilled palpation, we can better understand what their body is trying to say, helping to identify areas that may benefit from treatment and supporting their comfort, performance and wellbeing.

🐴 Sometimes, all it takes is listening with our hands.

✨ Relaxation, without leaving home. ✨

Imagine finishing your treatment… and instead of getting back in the car, you simply put the kettle on, curl up on your own sofa, or sit quietly in your garden listening to the birds. 🌿

That’s one of the biggest benefits of choosing a mobile massage.

💆‍♀️ No stressful drive to an appointment.
🏡 No rushing back into the outside world afterwards.
😌 You can truly relax and let your body enjoy the full benefits of your treatment.

Whether it’s in your living room, a cosy home treatment space, or even outdoors on a warm summer’s evening, your massage can be tailored to your surroundings. As this beautiful setting shows, your garden can become your own private spa. 🌅

Massage isn’t just about easing tight muscles—it’s about giving your mind and body the opportunity to switch off, recover and reset. When you’re already at home, that feeling of relaxation can last even longer.

So if you’ve been putting off booking because you don’t fancy travelling, let me bring the treatment to you.

📍 Mobile appointments available.
🌿 Your home. Your comfort. Your time to unwind.

Where would your dream massage spot be… indoors or out in the garden? 💚

Feeling guilty because you haven’t been riding, exercising, or training as much recently?

Don’t. 💛

With the heat wave, it’s been difficult to get horses and dogs out and about safely, and for many of us, our own training and exercise routines have had to slow down too.

But a short break isn’t a failure. In fact, rest can be incredibly beneficial for the body and mind.

For horses, dogs and people, time away from regular training can help:

✨ Reduce accumulated muscle fatigue and tension
✨ Allow minor strains and areas of soreness time to settle
✨ Support muscle recovery and repair
✨ Give the nervous system a chance to reset
✨ Reduce the risk of overuse injuries
✨ Improve mental wellbeing and reduce training burnout

Sometimes the body needs time to catch up with the work we’ve been asking it to do.

Rest days, lighter activity and breaks from structured training are all part of a healthy, balanced approach to performance and wellbeing. You don’t lose all your progress because you take a little time off. Often, you come back feeling fresher, more motivated and more physically prepared.

So if the heat has put your riding, dog walking, gym sessions or training on hold…

Give yourself permission to rest. 🌿

Your muscles, your mind, your horse and your dog may all benefit from it.

And when you do return to activity, take it gradually. Listen to the body, look for signs of stiffness or soreness, and remember that recovery is just as important as the work itself.

💆‍♀️ Sports massage can be a valuable part of supporting the body through training, recovery and periods of increased workload — for both prevention and maintenance.

Rest isn’t doing nothing. Rest is part of the training. 💛

Client Recognition & Appreciation — The Horse with a Lionheart 🦁🐴

I just have to share how incredibly proud I am of my clients, Skir Girt (“Bertie”) and Rachel.

Having known Bertie since he was a foal, it has been such a privilege to support him throughout his journey and into the beginning of his ridden career. And what a journey it’s been — this little horse truly has the biggest heart.

With the guidance of the wonderful Rachel (an exceptional horsewoman), Bertie has exceeded every expectation. From tackling the depths of Dartmoor as a hunter to training for and competing in three point-to-points, he has shown endless bravery, class, and determination every step of the way.

Rachel’s dedication to Bertie’s wellbeing, training, and every small detail has played such a huge part in helping him thrive through every experience. Together, they are an incredible team.

Bertie and Rachel are proof that no matter what, if you stay focused on your goals, work hard, and pour your heart and soul into what you do, amazing things can happen.

So well done to you both 👏🏻 I’m incredibly proud of you, and so grateful to have been part of your journey 💖

🐶 Exciting news… Canine Massage is coming soon 🐶

Most people who know me know just how important both horses and dogs are in my life — just as they are for so many others.

Just like horses (and humans), dogs can benefit hugely from massage therapy. It can support injury prevention, aid muscle development, improve mobility, and enhance overall wellbeing.

I’m so excited to continue developing my knowledge and skills so I can offer canine massage alongside my existing therapies.

I can’t wait to share more with you soon… watch this space 👀
