✨ This week at Little Stars, we went down under with our story called 'Barry the Fish with Fingers' by Sue Hendra ✨

🐠 In true Barry style, the children used their fingers to create an under water scene, and they also had fun with some sea life puzzles and games in the tuff tray 🐠

📚 Just like last week, we were ready and waiting to welcome any older siblings at group who are off school, with some magazines and activities gifted by The National Literacy Trust in Blackpool 📚

🥗 For lunch, we enjoyed a cheese board and toast with some very fancy fruit salad 🥗

Creative Blackpool is looking for a creative or collective to work with Little Stars, a book-based playgroup supporting families with children aged 0–5 in Claremont, Blackpool.

This £5,000 commission will explore creative storytelling and help make reading fun, relevant and immersive for children and families.
Deadline: Monday 31 August 2026, midnight.

✨ This week at Little Stars we enjoyed an ice cream themed session to cool us right down after all this lovely sunshine we've had lately ✨

🍦 We read a story called 'Keith the Cat with the Magic Hat' by Sue Hendra, which is all about a cat and his magical ice cream hat 🍦

🎨 Then the children painted their own ice creams and decorated them with sticker sprinkles 🎨

🥗 As usual during the warmer weather, we all shared a cheese board and fruit for lunch 🥗

🌞 Summer Holiday Timetable Update 🌞

Please note that between Tuesday 28th July and Tuesday 25th August, our Inclusive Dance Project will operate on a reduced summer timetable due to the school holidays.

Classes will run from 12.30pm to 1.30pm only.

During this period, all participants are welcome to attend the combined session, where we’ll continue to enjoy fun, inclusive dance, music and movement together.

Our normal timetable (12.30pm–2.30pm) will resume after 25th August.

Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to seeing you throughout the summer! 💃🕺
