📢 Please be aware that there will be roadworks on St Annes Road between Waterloo Road and Peddars Lane until 4th September.
There will be diversions in place and temporary traffic lights 🚦

Please be advised that as part of the ongoing improvement works on St Annes Road, the Watson Road junction will remain closed until tomorrow evening.

This temporary closure is required to allow planing works to be carried out. During this process, the road surface will be reduced to a depth that is unsuitable for vehicles to travel over.

During the closure, vehicles will only be able to travel southbound on St Annes Road via the existing one-way system across the junction. All other approaches and exits at the junction will be closed.

The following alternative routes are available:
• Marton Drive southbound – alternative route via Watson Road and Hawes Side Lane
• Watson Road westbound – alternative route via Marton Drive
• Watson Road eastbound – alternative route via Beverley Grove

Road closure signage is in place to guide road users.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank road users, local residents and businesses for their continued patience while these essential improvement works are carried out.
