It's been twelve years since we first opened. In that time we have had the pleasure of providing chiropractic, massage therapy and physiotherapy to many families. There is a huge variety in the techniques we use and the patients we treat.

Please let us know below what questions you have and we'll do our best to answer. 😊 ⬇️

Many people come to see us with a specific problem. Crippling low back pain, a headache that wont shift etc. We are absolutely here to get you out of that situation and more importantly, out of pain. However, just like most of us visit the dentist before there is a problem to make sure everything is optimal, the same is true for chiropractic. Having a routine check up at intervals that work for you helps us identify areas of dysfunction BEFORE they become symptomatic.

Most of us have lives that aren't ideal for our nervous system and musculoskeletal system (stressful job, poor desk posture, long hours etc) which is why visiting once and expecting to be 100% forever is unrealistic. Just like dental care or visiting the gym for optimal health results, chiropractic works best when it is part of your healthcare routine.

Just a friendly reminder that we are always here to help. How we think about things, stress and fatigue can all influence how we feel mentally and physically. Who else's mind looks like this? Mine definitely does! :)

Why NGCO?

Expertise. Here's some information on our "old timers!"

John qualified as a physiotherapist in the early 80s working in professional sport before retraining as a chiropractor and specialising in neurology becoming a diplomat of the American Chiropractic Neurology Board. He's lectured nationally and internationally and continues to lecture in both human and animal chiropractic.

Zoe trained as a podiatrist before qualifying as a chiropractor in 2005. She then completed a postgraduate certificate in chiropractic practice and MSc in paediatric musculoskeletal health. She is Websters certified (a technique most commonly associated with optimal foetal positioning in pregnancy) and has worked with lactation consultants, infant feeding specialists, midwives, occupational therapists, teachers, tongue tie division providers etc. to optimise the health of babies abd children presenting to the clinic.

Floridian Sarah qualified in the USA before relocating to the north-east of England. Sarah has trained extensively in prenatal and postnatal chiropractic. She provides safe, gentle and effective treatment using up to date information, techniques and equipment. She is a Webster Certified chiropractor. Sarah also holds the prestigious Pediatric Certification (CACCP) qualification from the ICPA.

They are all also qualified animal chiropractors.

πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ YOUR BODY DOES A LOT WHEN YOU PLAY SPORT!

Running, jumping, twisting, changing direction and lifting all place different demands on your body.

That’s where chiropractic care can be one part of looking after how you move, recover and perform. πŸ™Œ

A chiropractor may work with you on things such as:

🀸 Mobility β€” helping you maintain comfortable movement
🦡 Joint function β€” assessing how your joints are moving
πŸ’ͺ Muscle and movement patterns β€” looking at how your body works together
πŸƒ Injury recovery β€” supporting your rehabilitation alongside appropriate healthcare
🎯 Individual advice β€” helping you understand your movement and training needs

And remember, good recovery matters too!

πŸ’§ Stay hydrated
πŸ›Œ Get enough rest
πŸ‹οΈ Build training gradually
πŸ‘‚ Listen to how your body feels

What sport puts the most demand on your body? βš½πŸ‹οΈβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ

BABY DEVELOPMENT IS FULL OF NEW SENSATIONS πŸ‘Άβœ¨

As babies grow, they are constantly learning about their bodies and the world around them through movement, touch and different sensations.

You might notice your baby:

πŸ‘£ Kicking and moving their legs β€” discovering how their body moves
🀲 Reaching and grabbing β€” exploring touch and coordination
πŸ‘€ Following objects β€” developing visual awareness
🧸 Exploring different textures β€” learning through touch
🀸 Rolling, reaching and changing positions β€” building new movement skills

Every baby develops at their own pace, and these everyday experiences are an important part of their development. ❀️

πŸ’¬ What new skill has your little one discovered recently? We’d love to hear! πŸ‘‡
