I will get to know your relationship and values and beliefs and write a ceremony that is a true representation of you. I am very creative and love how my mind can come up with unique and personal touches to tie in with a person’s wishes/dreams for their ceremony. I have excellent creative writing skills and will work with you, during a one-to-one appointment to get as much information as I can to ensure that the ceremony is a true reflection of you, your family and your beliefs. With the option of added symbolic elements, such as sand ceremonies, tree planting, candle lighting, dove/butterfly release, plus many many other options, we can create a beautiful ceremony to celebrate your special event. Vow renewal, wedding celebrations, civil partnerships, gender confirmation, naming ceremonies, funeral, memorial, internment of ashes.

This little visitor seemed rather significant this week. It has been one of those weeks that has reminded me just how much being a funeral celebrant means to me. It also marks me entering the sixth year of my little business ❤️

I’ve received some of the most touching messages of thanks, thoughtful tokens of appreciation, and also been asked to take on a very special service later this year, which means more than I could ever express in words.

I usually pop on here and say these things in a video, but this week I’m far too emotional for that!

Families trust me with their stories, their memories and the often very personal and sometimes complicated task of saying goodbye (relationships are not always simple!).

I never take that trust for granted.

So, simply, thank you. To every family who has trusted me, recommended me, sent a message or thought of me afterwards, it means more than you probably realise. To fellow colleagues in the funeral profession who have made me feel so appreciated this week… thank you ❤️

Dragonflies are often associated with change and transition, as well as letting go and finding joy, so perhaps there was something rather fitting about this one stopping by.

It’s been a rather emotional week, but a very lovely reminder of why I do what I do. ❤️ x

My amazing eldest daughter is taking part in the 2027 London marathon in support of the East of England Ambulance Service Charity, a charity that makes a real difference to the lives of patients, communitites, staff and volunteers within the east of England every day.

More Than a Marathon.

To raise awareness of the physical and emotional demands faced by emergency service workers, she won't be running London Marathon in traditional running gear.

Instead, she will complete the entire 26.2 miles wearing her ambulance uniform and carrying a kit bag, just as she would on shift.

The extra weight represents more than the equipment they carry into every patient encounter. It symbolises the invisible weight that many frontline workers carry every day. The difficult calls. The long shifts. The emotional strain. The responsibility. The memories that sometimes follow them home.
