"Just get into a calorie deficit" is 100% true.

You could eat nothing but pizza and ice cream and you would still lose fat if you were in a deficit.

But you would feel awful.

Your energy would tank and you'd be hungry all the time.

The last thing you need as a parent trying to manage an endless to-do list is feel sluggish and bloated all the time.

That's why 80% of your food choices need to be good choices.

That allows a reasonable 20% for the things you enjoy without going mad.

You don't need to eat a strict diet like you're gettint ready for a photoshoot .

You're a parent who wants to look good on the beach this summer, have the energy to play with your kids and feel confident in your clothes.

The systems that I use with my clients allow for some flexibility while still dropping body fat and feeling great.

It's not your lack of time or "slower" metabolism.

It's your habits and behaviours.

It's also the fact that every time you try a new diet or workout plan, it's not suited to you.

It doesn't work around family dinners.

It doesn't work around school runs, endless meetings and your attempt at a social life.

To get in great shape, you need to focus on just a few very basic things.

The hard part is sticking to it when you've had a rough day at work or the kids are unwell.

That's where coaching, accountability and support comes in.

I work with all of my clients 1 on 1 to make sure our plan is being followed and if it's not, what do we need to do about it.

You need a system that works with your life.

That fits around work and school runs.

That allows for a drink with your other half.

That allows for some ice-cream with your kids.

Fitness and fat loss do not need to be extreme for incredible results.

If you're Dad was anything like mine growing up, chances are he spent a lot of time in the pub, playing golf or watching the football.

So I don't feel one bit selfish for taking an hour of out of my day for exercise.

That hour pays dividends.

It gives me energy to play with my sons.

It gives me confidence that I'm showing up right.

It clears my head so I can be present with my wife.

It manages my stress so I don't lose my sh*t when all the lights are left on upstairs...😂

When you're looking after yourself, you can show up as the best version of you for your family.

"Wait until you have kids, then you'll see"

I've been a Dad for 10 years now, I'm still waiting to see how supposedly difficult it is to exercise 🤷‍♂️
