Recently I had Ellie in for a hypnotherapy session.

Ellie had a significant phobia of birds that stemmed from an incident when she was younger. Even seeing a bird would trigger a fear response and she'd do everything she could to avoid them.

After just one session, she messaged me to say she'd walked through the marketplace completely free from that fear.

No panic.
No avoidance.
No anxiety.

Just total indifference to something that had controlled her for years.

Hypnotherapy can be an incredibly effective way of overcoming fears, changing unwanted habits, and shifting mindsets that no longer serve you.

This client came to me with a fear of birds that had affected her for years.

It wasn't just a case of "not liking" them.

She couldn't be a passenger in a car without panicking if she saw a bird. Her husband said there had been times he'd nearly crashed because of how severe her reactions were.

During our session, we uncovered where this fear had started – an incident from her childhood that had created a powerful negative association.

In just one session, we worked on removing that emotional response and changing the way her mind processed those experiences.

The same day, she walked through a marketplace surrounded by pigeons and seagulls without even noticing them.

She visited a shooting range in the countryside, saw birds flying around, and didn't scream, duck or dive once.

In her own words:

"I wanted to be friends with them instead."

Moments like this remind me why I love what I do.

So many fears, anxieties and limiting beliefs aren't who we are – they're learned responses that can often be changed when we address the root cause.

If a fear, phobia or anxiety is stopping you from living your life the way you want to, it doesn't have to stay that way.

Quitting Coke.....🥤

Worked with a client on Friday who wanted to stop drinking full fat coca cola. Drinking at least 2 litres per day for as long as they could remember

That's a whooping 840 calories per day on cola alone as well as all the other stuff in it.

30 minutes later they walk out and so far it hasn't even crossed their mind all weekend
