Today is Grief Awareness Day.

Grief can be incredibly difficult to experience, it reflects the love, connection and attachment we shared with someone important to us. Anxiety and depression can continue following a bereavement, or other life changes such as a job loss, divorce, or health diagnosis.

While Talking Therapies does not offer bereavement counselling, we support people experiencing symptoms of anxiety and depression, with treatment tailored to individual needs and goals. Call 01208 871 905 Visit https://www.cornwallft.nhs.uk/talking-therapies/

The summer holidays can be a great time to spend quality time with friends and family. They can also be a time of stress!

If you are finding this time of year difficult to navigate, we may be able to support you with some stress management techniques including relaxed breathing, managing worrying thoughts and improving sleep.

Our stressbuster and mindfulness courses have been shown to effectively improve wellbeing.

We also offer flexible online therapy options such as Silvercloud which have a range of programmes which are easily accessible.

Do you feel young at heart?

Our Young at Heart course is a 4-session course for people aged 65 and over, focusing on low mood, worry and anxiety.

The course explores some of the challenges that can occur later in life, including retirement, loneliness, bereavement, and health and mobility. Young at Heart looks at how these experiences can contribute to feelings of anxiety and low mood.

You will learn tools and techniques to help manage these feelings and adapt to life changes.

Menopause can have a big impact on your daily life, including relationships, social life, family life and work.

It brings a range of physical symptoms, but it can also impact mental health. This can include low mood, anxiety, mood swings and low self-esteem, as well as problems with memory or concentration. Daily activities that you previously took in your stride may now feel overwhelming.

If you can relate to this, you might consider our course on menopause health and wellbeing. The focus is on learning more about the impact of the menopause and ways to adapt and live well, through and beyond the menopause.

Courses currently run over 5 weeks online, and are free to attend.
