Christmas cards are still available, although some designs are starting to sell out!

Our Christmas Cards are sold in packs of 10, £4.50 per pack, postage from £2.50, with large print message inside reading “Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year”.

Cards will also be available from our Bognor and Shoreham Offices as well as Cards for Good Causes pop-up shop in The Council House, North Street, Chichester.

Celebrating 105 Years of Changing Lives

Today we mark an extraordinary milestone: 105 years of supporting blind and partially sighted people across West Sussex.

Founded in 1921, our organisation has witnessed enormous social and technological change. During that time, our services have evolved from practical welfare support to a broad range of information, advice, hospital-based services, social activities and accessible technology support.

Yet our purpose remains exactly the same as it was 105 years ago: helping people adapt to sight loss, overcome isolation, and maintain their confidence, independence and quality of life.

Today, an estimated 36,200 people across West Sussex are living with sight loss, and demand for our services continues to grow. Our commitment is unchanged: to ensure that no one has to face sight loss alone.

Reaching this milestone would not have been possible without the support of our clients, volunteers, staff, trustees, healthcare partners, funders, corporate supporters and local communities. Thank you for helping us create connection, opportunity and independence for thousands of people over the past 105 years.

We are proud of what has been achieved over the last 105 years, and excited about what the future holds as we continue to evolve to meet the needs of people living with sight loss.

Thank You Thursday

This Thank You Thursday, we'd like to extend our sincere thanks to the Geoff and Fiona Squire Foundation for their generous grant of £5,000 towards our costs. This vital funding will help us continue providing information, advice and practical support to people across West Sussex who are blind or partially sighted.

Core funding, funding that we can decide how best to apply, is essential to the delivery of our services, enabling us to respond to the needs of local people, maintain our support programmes and ensure that those living with sight loss can access the help they need to live independently and confidently.

On behalf of everyone at 4Sight Vision Support, and the people we support, thank you to the Geoff and Fiona Squire Foundation for helping us continue this important work.

Today we’re celebrating our 105th birthday – 105 years of supporting blind and partially sighted people across West Sussex.

For 105 years, we've helped people adapt to sight loss, overcome isolation, and maintain their confidence, independence and quality of life.

While the ways we support people have changed over the years, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to ensuring that no one faces sight loss alone.

To everyone who has been part of our journey over the past 105 years, thank you.

Blatchington Court Trust are running a FREE workshop next week for people who are blind or partially sighted to learn about your voting rights, try accessible voting devices and practise casting your vote in our mock polling station.

Whether you are preparing to vote for the first time or have voted before, this is an opportunity to learn about the different ways you can vote, the reasonable adjustments you can ask for and the support and accessible equipment that may be available to help you vote independently.

Would you like to feel more confident supporting your young person to vote?

Our free Accessible Voting and Your Rights workshop is open to parents and carers as well as blind and partially sighted young people aged 14-29. You’ll find out what assistance you can legally provide, what support can be requested at a polling station, and have a go at the accessible equipment yourself.

It’s also a good one for under 18s who want to feel prepared before they’re old enough to vote.
