For over 100 years, we have supported blind and sight impaired people across West Sussex. Whoever they are, whatever they do, wherever they find themselves.

4Sight Vision Support was established in 1921 to support blind and partially sighted people in West Sussex. We now support over 2,000 members and provide over 5,000 people with a wide range of practical support solutions to help them remain independent following sight loss. Our main aim at 4Sight Vision Support is to improve the lives of blind and partially sighted people with sight loss. We suppo

rt in many different ways though services, visits, information, guidance, advocacy and support. Our aims are to enable people to:

Adjust to sight loss
Make the best use of low vision
Combat social isolation
Access appropriate information and advice
Maintain independence
Participate actively in their communities and family life
Access facilities and open spaces, across town and country
Access high quality personal social care and clinical services, with appropriate and timely choices
Influence service design, provision, commissioning and planning
Make informed choices about their own health and wellbeing

4Sight Vision Support supports these aims by providing valuable and much needed services, enabling blind and partially sighted people to remain as independent as possible.

Our walking groups are great for getting out and about in the beautiful county of West Sussex.
Our groups meet once a month for a walk, a chance to meet new people and often are, followed by a coffee and cake too. Groups are open to anyone living with sight loss who is fit to walk. With the support of trained sighted guides who enable you to feel reassured and confident in new areas and along different routes.

Some groups explore routes of around 5 miles along fields, over stiles and through woodland paths, whilst others enjoy a gentle stroll along more sturdy footpaths.
We currently have groups in the Mid Sussex and Arun areas, and would welcome new members living with sight loss and any new volunteers too. Contact us today on 01243 828 555 or email [email protected]

Volunteers receive full sighted guiding training to ensure they and the people they guide feel confident and safe at all times. If you have any questions or for more information about volunteering as a guide and/or being a driver for these groups please do get in touch.

The next one is just two weeks away on Thursday 17th September. Join us at Midhurst Methodist Church, North Street Midhurst, GU29 9DU, 11am to 2:30pm.

We offer a variety of emotional and practical support including dedicated assessments to identify magnification, advice on techniques and products to help with everyday tasks, guidance with accessing technology and assistance within education and employment settings too.

Will you be joining us today as we bring our services to the Yews Club in Haywards Heath?

We are bringing some of our most in-demand services to your local area. Our wonderful volunteers run various social and leisure activities across the county and different members of our team will be visiting to provide information on particular topics.

Today our Vision Support Advisors specialising in low vision will be at the Yews Club, which meets monthly from 10:30am to 12:30am at 55 Boltro Road, Haywards Heath, RH16 1BJ.

An incredible £9,674.47 raised for 4Sight Vision Support!

We are absolutely delighted to announce that Scrap Car Comparison and their generous customers have raised an amazing £9,674.47 for 4Sight Vision Support through their May fundraising campaign.

This is the fourth time Scrap Car Comparison has chosen to support us, and thanks to this year's incredible fundraising effort, they have now raised an astonishing £25,343.92 for 4Sight Vision Support since March 2022.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who chose to donate part of the value of their scrap vehicle, and to the fantastic team at Scrap Car Comparison for their continued commitment to supporting people living with sight loss across West Sussex.

As a local charity, support like this makes a huge difference and helps us continue providing vital services to nearly 3,800 people affected by sight loss and their families.
