If you’re not already volunteering but are interested in supporting people in your community, we’d love to hear from you, please contact us. Volunteering can enrich not only the lives of others, but your own too.

Volunteer roles are varied and flexible. From street collections, to collecting/emptying collection boxes in shops and businesses, and knitting seasonal items, to more regular roles such as helping in our Bognor Regis reception, driving people to activities, guiding visually impaired people on our walks, telephone befriending, or putting our newsletters into their envelopes – every contribution matters. Just a few hours can have a huge impact.

To all our volunteers – thank you for everything you do.

Volunteers' Week Spotlight

We’d like to say a huge thank you to our wonderful volunteer, Jean, whose creativity and generosity help support the work of 4Sight Vision Support. Not only does Jean make beautiful cross-stitch keyrings, with every penny raised helping to fund our vital services for people living with sight loss, but she supports the administration in HQ, as well as answering the phone.
Each keyring is available for a suggested donation of just £2.50, and can be personalised with an initial or a small picture, such as a car, cat, or flower. Perfect as a thoughtful little gift.

You can view Jean’s unique handmade keyrings in Reception at our HQ in Bognor Regis.

Thank you, Jean, for your dedication, talent, and support. Volunteers like you make a real difference to people in West Sussex who are blind or partially sighted.

Our volunteers come from all walks of life. Many have personal experience of sight loss through family or friends and want to give something back, while others are inspired by the work we do as a local charity.

Thank You Thursday
This week, we’re saying a very special thank you to Anthony Gillings. Anthony marked his 100th birthday in the most incredible way – by taking on a 2-mile walk to raise funds for 4Sight Vision Support. He raised an amazing £3,698.25!

Anthony, your kindness, determination and generosity are truly inspiring. To celebrate such a remarkable milestone by supporting others living with sight loss means so much to us all.

We’d also like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported Anthony – whether by donating, sharing his story, or cheering him on. Your support will make a real difference to the people and families we help every day.

Again, Happy 100th birthday, Anthony – and thank you for being such a wonderful part of our community.

Turn your old car into life changing support this May
Did you know that when you scrap your car this May with Scrap Car Comparison , you can choose to donate part of its value to 4Sight Vision Support?

Thanks to this fantastic local company, this simple decision has already raised over £15,000 across their previous campaigns – supporting people living with sight loss across our community.

We’re so pleased to be partnering with them again for the whole of May, and we’d love your support to make this year even bigger! If you (or someone you know) is getting rid of a car, please consider choosing Scrap Car Comparison and helping to make a real difference.
