When you’re looking for a counsellor, one of the first things to check is that they’re registered with a recognised professional body. It’s a simple way to know they’ve met professional standards and are committed to working ethically.
I’m a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), which means I work within their Ethical Framework and professional standards.
Qualifications are important, but so is the relationship you have with your counsellor. Research consistently shows that feeling comfortable, listened to and understood is one of the biggest factors in successful therapy.
That’s why I offer a free 30-minute counselling assessment. It’s a relaxed opportunity for us to meet, talk about what’s brought you here, and decide together whether I’m the right counsellor for you.
If you’d like to take that first step, I’d love to hear from you.
