Day Out at Middlebrook 🎬🍟🎶

We had a fantastic day out at Middlebrook, where everyone had a wonderful time enjoying a cheeky McDonald’s before heading to the cinema to watch the Michael Jackson movie. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the film, with lots of singing, laughter, and excitement throughout! It was lovely to see everyone joining in, singing along to the music and simply enjoying each other’s company. A brilliant day filled with fun, great memories, and plenty of smiles! ❤️🎶

Memory Box Activity 💕

The girls enjoyed a lovely, meaningful session creating their own memory boxes. We spent time talking about special memories, treasured possessions, and the things that are close to their hearts. Each person brought along something meaningful and shared the story behind it, creating lovely conversations and opportunities to reminisce. They then enjoyed decorating and personalising their memory boxes, making each one unique to them. Some chose to take their boxes home, while others decided to keep them at the centre so they can continue adding special photographs, keepsakes and little treasures each week. It was a beautiful session filled with smiles, laughter, memories, and lots of meaningful conversations. 💗

*Bag Designing Activity*

The bag designing activity was so much fun and was enjoyed by everyone! Each service user had the opportunity to design and personalise their own bag, choosing their own colours, patterns and decorations to create something that reflected their individual personality and style. Everyone was fully engaged and concentrated carefully on their designs, with some fantastic and creative ideas being brought to life. The finished bags were not only colourful and unique but also practical, with some service users choosing to use theirs as shopping bags and others using them to carry their personal belongings to the day centre. It was lovely to see the pride on everyone’s faces when they finished their creations, and the activity encouraged creativity, independence, concentration, decision-making and a great sense of achievement.

🎳🌟 Bowling Fun at Supported Steps! 🌟🎳

Our service users had a fantastic time on our bowling trip, with plenty of laughter, encouragement, and some brilliant achievements! Everyone got involved and had a go, making it a fun and memorable day. A special mention goes to Sheila, who had never bowled before and absolutely smashed it, coming in 2nd place! 🥈 We were also incredibly proud of Danielle, who, despite struggling with her back, showed fantastic determination and did amazingly well. 💪❤️ It was wonderful to see everyone encouraging each other, celebrating every turn, and enjoying themselves. Well done to everyone who took part; you were all winners in our eyes! 🏆🎳👏

🌸🌿 Creative Floral Display at Supported Steps! 🌿🌸

Our service users had a wonderful time creating a beautiful floral display at the day centre, putting their creativity and imagination to work! They made the flowers, decorated the frames, and created all the little finishing touches themselves, with encouragement and support from their dedicated support workers. 🌺✨ It was fantastic to see everyone getting involved, making their own choices and working together while developing their confidence and creative skills. There was plenty of conversation, laughter, and pride as the display slowly came together. A huge well done to everyone involved — you have created something truly beautiful! 💐👏

🔎🏆 *Scavenger Hunt Fun at Supported Steps!* 🎉

What a fantastic day at the Supported Steps Day Centre! Our service users took part in an exciting scavenger hunt, following clues, searching around the centre, and working together to complete the challenges. There were lots of laughs, plenty of moving around, teamwork, and some fantastic moments along the way! Everyone got involved, supported one another, and enjoyed the excitement of finding each clue. It was brilliant to see so many smiles, encouragement, and enthusiasm throughout the activity.

* Previous care/support experience is desirable

🚗 Driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential
📅 Working days: Monday–Sunday

Pizza-making day was full of fun, independence, and big smiles as everyone got involved in making their own lunch 🍕💛 From choosing toppings to spreading sauce and sprinkling cheese, there was lots of excitement and pride in doing it ourselves. The room was filled with laughter, delicious smells, and a real sense of achievement. The best part? Sitting down together to enjoy the pizzas we made, they tasted even better knowing we’d created them ourselves 😋 It was a joyful, confidence-boosting activity that everyone absolutely loved.
