Edwina Hodkinson - Medical Herbalist, Shamanic Practitioner and Celebrant

Edwina Hodkinson - Medical Herbalist, Shamanic Practitioner and Celebrant I am a practising NIMH registered Medical Herbalist and registered GAPS (Gut and Psychology Syndrome) practitioner.

I have a 30 year background in health care with experience as a ward sister in general medicine and endocrinology. I have worked in natural healthcare for the last 20 years as a clinical reflexologist, aromatherapist, and Reiki healer, working as part of the complementary therapy teams at the Christie Hospital and Bury Cancer support centre as well as in private practice. I gained a first class ho

nors degree at Central Lancashire University in Herbal Medicine over 6 years ago and have also trained with Dr Natasha Campbell McBride as a GAPS practitioner. I co-teach on a Weeds and Wild Medicine course at Offshoots Permaculture, Townely park, Burnley and lead Wild Medicine walks and medicine making workshops in the northwest. I have a keen interest in nutrition and Gut health, believing it to be the root of many of our modern illnesses. I'm passionate about connecting people to our wild native medicines and landscapes.

I still have a few places left on this calming workshop on Lemon balm and Lime blossom. Link in the comments x

Plantain is an amazing herb, readily available almost all year-round, and it's everywhere!
One of the sacred herbs of our ancestors, it is a premier first-aid herb and essential plant wisdom when travelling. Plantain has a multitude of uses and is deemed by some as a universal herb as it is so good for all systems of the body, including lungs, digestive tract, liver, bladder and skin.
The next herb class at Philips Park in Whitefield is on Tuesday, 21st April, and we will spend the evening really getting to know Plantain, from guided tastings to medicine-making, as I demonstrate how to make a salve that is great for insect bites and first aid. The cost is £20 and includes emailed handouts.
If money is an issue, a bursary is available from Incredible Edible Prestwich. Email me for details.
