Did you know the solar eclipse is happening today? 🌑

The partial solar eclipse will be visible across the UK today, from approximately 6:10pm to 8:10pm, with the maximum eclipse around 7:10pm. Timings will vary slightly depending on where you are in the UK.

🕶️ Ordinary sunglasses aren't enough to protect your eyes

🔭 NEVER look at the Sun through binoculars, telescopes or cameras without the correct solar filters

You might think you’d notice if something was changing with your eyes. But some changes to your vision can happen so gradually that you don’t notice them straight away. 👁️

You might find things look a little blurrier, struggle more with glare at night, or find yourself holding things further away to read.

That’s why regular eye tests are important. An eye test can check how well you’re seeing and give your optometrist the opportunity to look for changes in your eye health. And if you’re aged 60 or over in England, your NHS eye test is FREE* 🤝

So, if it’s been a while since your last test, why not book one?

*Other people may also qualify for a free NHS eye test. Speak to your local optician for more information.
