During this week, spearheaded by Diabetes UK , the annual nationwide campaign focuses on the theme 'Strike Out Stigma' aiming to end the negative attitudes and victim-blaming faced by people living with the condition.

At Bolton GP Federation, we’re encouraging local people to take control of their health by booking an NHS Health Check 💙

At The Hive, we offer free NHS Health Checks for people aged 40 to 74 who are registered with a Bolton GP practice.

An NHS Health Check can help identify early signs of conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure and heart disease before symptoms appear.

If you have not already had an NHS Health Check, simply contact your GP practice, who will be able to check your eligibility and book you in at The Health Hive.

Prevention and early detection can make a big difference to your long-term health.

FREE Carers group at Daisy Hill CC, Community Garden, St James Street 🤗

The format of our Carers group has now changed slightly, the group will now run:
👉🏾 1st Tuesday of the month- supported by Bolton Carers Support (starting tomorrow 2nd June)

And

👉🏾 3rd Tuesday of the month - supported by Julie Wright, Social Prescriber for Westhoughton Primary Care Network

🕣 Drop in anytime between 11am and 1pm

What to expect? 🤔💭

We have a beautiful and peaceful Community Garden to enjoy, plenty of seating and a lovely summer house for shade / shelter.
We would love any Carers to come and chat to us about how you are doing, you will be met by a professional, we will provide refreshments and this is time for you to take a well earned break. The current group is small, welcoming and very friendly 🙌😘

Our garden Project Manager Martin will write any jobs that need doing on our white board, you are welcome to help out in the garden, or just sit and chat. 🍀🌹🌸
