We're proud to have been recognised by Middlesbrough College for our support of Health and Social Care students through work placements at our service, The Bridge, Middlesbrough.

By welcoming students each year, we're helping to provide valuable insight into careers across health and social care. Through placements of up to 200 hours, students have the opportunity to learn from our Multidisciplinary Teams (MDTs), gaining first-hand experience of person-centred care and the different roles that contribute to delivering high-quality support.

Students quickly become a valued part of the service, building relationships with residents and contributing to their wellbeing through everyday interactions and companionship. These meaningful connections benefit everyone involved and help bring learning to life.

Many students go on to pursue careers as Healthcare Assistants, Nurses, Paramedics and other health and social care professionals, while others discover new opportunities and interests along the way.

We're delighted to play a role in supporting the next generation of healthcare professionals and would like to thank Middlesbrough College for recognising our commitment to student development and learning!

A service user at The Farndon Unit has successfully moved on from inpatient care, after 15 years in mental health hospitals.

Before leaving the service, they shared a heartfelt letter with Hospital Director Ali Curtis, expressing their gratitude for the support they received throughout their recovery journey.

It's a touching reminder of the difference compassionate care can make and a milestone to celebrate!

Every year we welcome colleagues who have trained and qualified overseas. They bring skill, experience and perspective we could not recruit any other way. What they often do not get is a guide to the system they have just stepped into.

Right now, that guide exists at Elysium, but informally. It happens because individual colleagues choose to give their time. Our Beyond Difference employee resource group has made formalising it a strategic priority, so that mentorship becomes a platform every internationally recruited colleague can access rather than something they have to be lucky enough to find.

Here is what it looks like when it works.

Chris qualified as a Social Worker in Zimbabwe. At Thornford Park he was mentored by Anbumurasoli and backed by the wider Social Work team, working through UK legislation, statutory frameworks and the unwritten professional expectations that no induction pack covers.
Within a year, Chris was promoted to Senior Social Worker.

"The mentorship programme played a significant role in enhancing both my professional competence and confidence. It was instrumental in supporting my development as a social worker and facilitating a successful transition into practice."
-Chris

Chris's experience is the case for formalising this across Elysium. People stay when they feel supported and progress quickly when someone helps them get their bearings. Whether a talented colleague thrives shouldn't come down to the luck of which team they landed in.

And because it says something about the kind of employer we want to be.

We're pleased to launch our new Complex Recovery Service (CRS), a service designed to support adults with highly complex mental health needs.

Elysium’s Complex Recovery Service provides specialist inpatient care where conventional pathways have not been able to meet an individual's needs.

Through high-intensity therapeutic support, trauma informed care, and a focus on recovery and sustainable discharge, we're helping people build and regain the skills and independence required to live fulfilling lives in the community.

Because at Elysium Healthcare, the person is always at the centre of everything we do.

We're proud to announce that The Dean Neurological Centre has been rated 'Good' by the CQC!

The report recognised the service's strong culture of safety, where openness, honesty and continuous learning are embedded into everyday practice. Inspectors highlighted how colleagues actively listen to concerns, and use lessons learned to continually improve the quality of care provided.

The CQC also praised The Dean's approach to risk management, noting that people are supported in the least restrictive way possible, helping to balance safety with independence, choice and quality of life.

This achievement reflects the dedication, compassion and expertise of our colleagues, who go above and beyond every day to deliver exceptional care and support.

Congratulations to the entire team!🎉

Last weekend we were proud to support Leeds Pride as a Premium Sponsor, marching alongside the LGBTQ+ community, allies, and thousands of people who turned Leeds into a sea of colour.

There's something special about seeing colleagues from Elysium Healthcare and Ramsay Health Care UK standing side by side, in the crowd, on the stall, and in the parade, simply showing up for one another and for the community around us.

Days like this aren't just a celebration. They're a reminder of the kind of workplaces we want to build every day of the year: ones where people don't have to leave any part of themselves at the door.

"Working with our friends at Ramsay to celebrate what we stand for as employers, and the commitment our people show in return, was fantastic. Leeds Pride was the perfect place to celebrate love, freedom and acceptance, to meet the community and talk about the work both our companies do. I felt honoured and proud to be part of it." Colin Riddell, Chair of the LGBTQIA+ ERG at Elysium

To everyone who joined us, thank you. You made it a day we won't forget. Here's to building workplaces and communities where everyone can be themselves. 🌈❤️

At Elysium Healthcare, we recognise the invaluable role that carers play in supporting the wellbeing and quality of life of those in our care. Through regular communication, involvement, and opportunities to connect, we aim to ensure they remain an important part of our communities across our services.

Recently, colleagues at Asher House welcomed residents, relatives, carers, and staff to a community BBQ, bringing everyone together to enjoy quality time in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

The afternoon was filled with delicious food, music, laughter, and meaningful conversations, helping to strengthen relationships and create a real sense of togetherness.

The service was also delighted to welcome Elysium's CEO, Joe O'Connor, whose visit highlighted our ongoing commitment to supporting both residents and those who care for them.

Feedback from carers, residents, and relatives was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing their appreciation for the opportunity to connect and socialise.

Events like these play an important role in promoting wellbeing, strengthening relationships, and creating a sense of community. Bringing residents, families, carers, and colleagues together helps foster meaningful connections and reinforces the supportive environment at the heart of Asher House.

Thank you to all carers for the compassion, commitment, and support you provide every day!

Elysium's Arbury Court recently hosted its 2nd annual Summer Market, bringing together the people supported in the service, their families and friends, colleagues, local traders and community organisations for a fantastic day of connection, inclusion and celebration!

With around 18 stalls, live music and a great turnout, the event provided an opportunity for people to come together, showcase their talents, build confidence and strengthen meaningful community connections.

One of the highlights of the day was a group of service users proudly selling the diamond art creations they had spent months making in preparation for the market. Their hard work and creativity raised more than £130 for Homerun Hounds, a local greyhound rescue charity they regularly support through volunteering opportunities.

The success of the event was a true team effort, with our Social Work, Nursing, Catering and Occupational Therapy teams working together to support participation and make the day enjoyable for everyone involved.

The Summer Market is about much more than fundraising - it's about creating meaningful opportunities, building confidence, developing skills and strengthening community connections.

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the day such a success!
