What if preparing well for your birth could transform not only how you feel about birth...but you're whole experience?

Taking a Hypnobirthing course won't guarantee you a particular type of birth...but it will allow you to feel calmer, more informed and more confident, through the rest of your pregnancy, and your birth.

It will prepare you with practical tools to help help you more feel calm and in control as you navigate labour and whatever twists and turns it may bring.

It will help you to feel confident making informed decisions that are right for you and your baby, so you go inyo your labour feeling empowered.

The combination of mindset shifts, feeling less anxious, and relaxation techniques help you have a more comfortable birth.

As a midwife and hypnobirthing specialist, I combine the practical knowledge of birth with techniques to help you work with your body and nervous system. Rather than feeling like you're simply waiting for labour to happen to you you can intentionally prepare in ways that really make a difference.

I have a September Small-group Calm & Confident Birth Course coming up. Comment CALM to find out more about this relaxed, supportive course where you can learn alongside other expectant parents - held in Borehamwood.

I also offer:
1:1 Hypnobirthing - personalised preparation  focused on your individual needs, questions and preferences.

Online Hypnobirthing - flexible preparation from available anywhere to anyone, even if you're not local.

When I talk about pregnancy "body balancing", it's not that your body is broken or needs fixing - but supporting a more balanced and aligned body can make a huge difference to how comfortable pregnancy is, and how your birth feels.

Pregnancy is an incredible process of adaptation, but modern lifestyles, old injuries, daily habits, and the physical demands of growing a baby can all influence how we move and feel.

Body balancing is about supporting your body to find more comfort, mobility and ease through pregnancy - helping you feel more connected to your body and more prepared for your birth.

The fancy name is Pregnancy and Birth Biomechanics, but as many people haven't come across that term, I call it "Body Balancing"

How I can support you with preparing your body for birth...

✨️ 1:1 Postural Assessment & individualised programme

✨️ Body Ready Workshop - practical movement tools to prepare for birth as a couple

✨️ Small group 4-week pregnancy movement programme.

✨️ Ease into Labour - 1:1 late pregnancy session combining body balancing with acupressure massage and aromatherapy!

✨️ if your baby is BREECH - 1:1 body balancing with Moxibustion and hypnosis.

Drop me a message if you'd like to know more

Hertfordshire & North London

(Postural Assessment can be facilitated online)

✨ Why movement is your best friend in labour ✨

Baby needs to rotate and navigate their way through the different levels of the pelvis.

The good news is that your body is amazing and clever, so it makes your pelvis more able to open in pregnancy - but MOVEMENT is vital to allow this to work smoothly.

You may have heard the MOVEMENT can help labour feel more comfortable, and this is WHY! It's not the movement itself, it's because the movement allows baby to find an easier path through your pelvis. So it's about moving with purpose.

Understanding when and how to move can:
🤍 Encourage labour to progress smoothly.
🤍 Improve comfort during contractions.
🤍 Give you practical tools if labour seems to slow down.

This is one of my favourite topics to teach because once you understand the why behind movement, it all makes sense, and is really empowering knowing that you can actually make a real difference just by moving your body!

Comment BIRTH to find out how I can support you in preparing for your positive birth!

Movement is medicine. Knowledge is power 🤍

It's often the simple questions that play on your mind right?
So here I am to answer your question about what to wear if you're having a waterbirth.

I've seen everything from a long sleeved shirt and shorts (to start at least), to just plain naked.

Most people either wear a bikini/bra top, or nothing at all. It's also coming as labour progresses to feel more comfortable with nothing on. But whatever works for you is good!

It's worth thinking about access for skin to skin on your chest for straight after baby is born, so you won't want to be wearing too much at that stage.

If you birth partner will be joining you in the pool, hospital policies say they cannot be naked! Shorts or trunks please!

What will you be packing for the pool?
Or if you've had a waterbirth, what did you wear?
