♥️ Huge breakthrough yesterday with this pretty girl!

Missy is a regular, she’s coming up to her 1 year anniversary in the Flying Hooves family 🥰

Sometimes she 😍 her treatments and sometimes she 😡 them

I work with her, we work around things together, swap techniques, skip around her body, no set routine, no set rules ♥️

Yesterday she 💯 sank into the work, she fully trusted the process, and me 🥰

Her response was so deep to my tiny suggestions of release through her lumbar that the whole area just unlocked 🔓 🔑

She let out one huge backwards kick and then went into an utter state of total relaxation 🥹😴

She melted into the psoas and gluteal work, I was practically propping her up by this point 😂 💤

I stopped there, ending things positively, letting her process, the yawning, and pandiculation stretches, holding her legs in her own stretch for some time all followed and we left her with the happy relaxed face you can see in the photo ♥️

Sleep well, stay happy and jump high at your next competition sweet girl

🤩 How fabulous does this beautiful girl look in her James Saddlery bridle? 🤩

She has the curved browband with stunning Emerald Swarovski Crystals 💚 doesn't it stand out against her? And the sparkle, just wow ✨

Her headpiece is the half moon which just envelopes her poll a lovely hug 👐 helping relieve tension 🥰🐴

A simple cavesson and billet cheeks complete the look, drawing the eye up her face to the browband, making it, and her, the star of the show! ⭐

Reins are the Xtreme Eventer, these are smooth but 'Xtremely' grippy making them perfect for hands that struggle to cope with the feel of bobbles or stoppers 🫶

The bit is a rotary D that I loaned them to tide them over 💜

I love it when a bridle comes together and paints such a lovely picture 💜 the buckles are perfectly aligned, the browband shines, the Havana leather compliments her coat colour, the headpiece sits so still and straight and... we have a much happier girl after she chose her bit and got her fitted bridle.

📖 True story: I once got sent on a college trip to learn about horses… and ended up welding tractors instead🔧🐴❓❓

Thinking "don’t be ridiculous!"?? 🤔😂

Well... here you go! A little insight into why I do what I do and my extremely personal reasons and scattered thoughts for doing it 💜

Sometimes I think this was meant to find me all along... I actually wanted to do something like this when I left school but didn't know how to articulate it and there weren't such diverse roles in the equine industry back then 😕

My teacher was like "so you want to be a groom, or a riding instructor, maybe a vet?" I was like "no... that's not it... it's like keeping horses fit and working with their bodies. No, not surgery, like helping them move better and helping them adapt to injury." Teacher = 🤷‍♀️

So, she sent me on a day trip with the boys' school to Caythorpe, now Riseholme, to look at the equine facilities but it all went wrong and I spent the day welding and looking at tractors... 🤦🏻‍♀️ 😂

The college lecturer felt really sorry for me and helped me weld my horse's name, Blue, on some metal for her stable door. Apparently I was rather good at it... Just thought!!! I could've been Alex from Flashdance! 💃 😂

If you are now thinking "WTA_ is she on about it?" go watch it! It's ACE!!!!

And, yep, this is mostly how my brain works 🤣🤣🤣

You guys will still see Equicantis for a while but I’m seeing its rebrand, Corevelio.
I’m liking it! For some reason it seems easier to read than the old Equicantis colours and type were 😂 no more squinting at my phone and holding it at arm’s length 📱🧐 😂
