When people hear "hybrid training", they often think of Hyrox.

But hybrid training is simply the combination of strength and endurance training and the benefits go far beyond any single event.

Whether your goal is to run further, lift heavier, improve your fitness, tackle obstacle races, endurance challenges, fitness competitions, or simply feel stronger in everyday life, hybrid training helps build a body that's capable, resilient and fit for life.

Our Hybrid class is designed to develop exactly these skills in a supportive, progressive environment.

Did you know that hybrid training isn't just something people do for Hyrox? πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ’ͺ

I think a lot of people hear "hybrid" and assume it's only for people training for a specific event but actually, hybrid training is one of the most well-rounded and practical ways to train full stop. And more and more events are built around exactly this style of fitness.

So what is it? At its core, hybrid training is the combination of cardiovascular endurance and strength work. Running, rowing, or any form of cardio, paired with functional strength movements like kettlebell work, sled pushes, lunges, and more. The idea is that your body gets good at both, and the two work together rather than against each other.

Hyrox is probably the most well-known event that uses it. But it's not the only one.

Events like Wild Hybrid are a brilliant example. They hold events at incredible locations, one of them right on our doorstep at Sherwood Pines Forest near Mansfield, running trails through the pine trees with functional work built in. It's a completely different experience to Hyrox but built on exactly the same foundation, strength, endurance, and the ability to keep going when both are being tested at the same time.

That's what our Hybrid classes are all about. You don't need to be training for an event to benefit from it but if you ever wanted to give something like that a go, this is exactly how you'd prepare. πŸ™Œ

The new 6-week Circuits block starts on 13th

July and there are still a few places available.
Six weeks might not sound like a long time.
But six weeks of consistency can make a huge difference.

More energy.
More confidence.
Better fitness.
Feeling stronger.

That's why I love these blocks.
They're long enough to build momentum and short enough to feel achievable.

You don't need to smash yourself every session to see a difference. A walk counts. A 20 minute class counts. Getting up and moving when you really didn't want to counts.

We've been sold this idea that if you're not dripping in sweat and barely able to walk the next day, it wasn't worth doing. That's just not true.

Movement does so much more than burn calories. It lifts your mood, clears your head, improves your sleep, reduces stress. The physical changes come but they're not the whole picture.

Just move. More than yesterday. That's enough. πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

Smiles, laughs, a few groans during the tough bits, and lots of cheering each other on ...this is what our classes are really about.

No pressure, no judgement, just a great group of people showing up for themselves and supporting one another along the way. ✨

I know for a lot of you, the first thought when you see something like this is, who's going to have the kids.
And I get it. I really do.

But can I say something? Four nights away isn't abandoning your family. It's choosing to invest in yourself so you can come back feeling like YOU again, not burnt out, not running on empty, not just going through the motions.

The kids will be fine. Your partner, family, friends, they've got them. And you'll come back a better version of yourself for it.
That's not selfish. That's smart.

Just a great group of people all showing up, working hard, and supporting each other.
